I agree because, keeping them in the zoo is not Thier natural environment in the wild they can Rome anywhere and have unlimited freedome unlike the zoo where they have a small environment behind bars where they are trapped without enough space for them. And they are loosing Thier natural habits like hunting. The zoo does give them good food but they are becoming softer as everything is given to them instead of hunting and working for Thier food

I agree that keeping animals in zoos is very cruel because animals are not meant to be kept in tight claustrophobic spaces like cages, even if make the enclosures are large, animals aren’t meant to be in one place for long periods of time. Animals are supposed to be on the move hunting for food instead of lazing around being given food without putting in any work causing them to rely on the zookeepers to make sure that don’t die of starvation. Thus, if they were to be put out in the open they would die due to the lack in their ability to hunt for their own food.

I disagree because, in the zoo they are taken care of well and fed well. If they have any wound it will be treated instead of the risk of getting infected in the wild. In the zoo us humans can study them and Thier habits to get to learn more about them. In the wild they are risk getting hunted , hurt or eaten by other alpha predators in unlike in the zoos where there in a friendly safe habitat where it's stress free for them.

I agree that keeping animals in zoos are cruel. This is because keeping the animals isolated in one place is not good for their mental wellbeing. The animals will not look at the nature wildlife, or their homes when taken in. They would not get used to the nature and the environment around them. Some animals are forcely taken into the zoo, just to entertain tourists or people which would make the animals more hostile to humans. The animals would still have their families out in the nature. Therefore, it is a bad idea to keep animals in the zoo.

Yes , I agree as keeping animals in zoos are bad as animals in zoos are forced to live in unnatural, boring environments, leading to a lack of mental and physical stimulation such as not able to roam around the place. They are removed from their natural habitats and confined to small limited spaces and often forced to perform a show or to entertain the visitors. Visitors may visit them but animals may not feel comfortable as they are in a cage/compartment being locked. This could harm their mental health and physical health. Visitors may not enjoy watching the animals from afar , instead they would probably would want to see them up close.

i agree. Keeping animals in zoos is animal cruelty due to the fact that most zoos crowd their animals making it uncomfortable and uneasy for the animals. this is shown in an article, “In addition to limited space, many zoos cram in as many animals as possible into the enclosures. Many visitors prefer seeing animals up close, instead of peering at them from afar, hidden in their dens or nests. This encourages zoos to increase the number of animals per exhibit, increasing the likelihood of visitors seeing animals on the move near the boundaries of the enclosure. ”. Hence, making it difficult for animals to feel at ease or have privacy which can affect an animals life and put them into risk of harm or even fatal death.

Although they re safe from bigger predators that may get them out in the wild it would make them not learn how to hunt or survive in the wild. For example some cubs that were birthed and raised in the zoo wont know to hunt and survive on their own as they have been carefully taken care of and raised in the zoo. So if they were to get released back into the wild they would have a hard time adapting to their original habitat as they would be reliant on their zoo keepers to give them food. Thus, placing animals in zoos is in fact cruel as they would slowly lose their ability to hunt and survive.

While zoos may claim to provide educational value and promote conservation, the limitations imposed on animals' natural behaviors and habitats can lead to physical and psychological distress. This raises questions about the ethical implications of prioritizing public display over the well-being of individual animals, casting doubt on the true benefits of captivity for wildlife preservation.

Keeping animals in zoos is extremely cruel. This is because keeping animals in confinement may stress the animals and they may start acting oddly such as snapping and biting themselves when they cannot escape according to research. Researchers has also shown that after being held captive, they develop stereotypical behaviours which may lead to them pacing in circles, back and fourth and even self-harm. This is also called zoochosis when they do such things.
This is very unhealthy for the animals as they can easily die from doing these things. By keeping them in cages, you will also take away their joy and happiness and they have to endure immense suffering as they cannot move around anywhere because they are restricted to do so.
Therefore, keeping animals in zoos can ruin their freedom and joy of being an animal.

I also disagree with the fact that keeping animals in the zoo. This is because there are animals that get treated well and get good treatment. For example, as the animal was injured in the wildlife, the caretakers take them to get them medical attention. Once they are well and healthy, they might participate in shows or even display themselves with a calm manner. They would feel love and kindness towards the humans as they are treated well and being fed. Some animals could live their lives in the place itself. Since it has a nature-like environment and it makes the animals more comfortable and more easier to find a home.
So, in my opinion, I find putting animals in the zoos are very convenient for them.

I agree because keeping animals in zoos in a small space might lead to them going crazy and doing dangerous stuff. Lack of space means that animals don’t get enough space to roam around and be more free. Animals are sentient beings, capable of feeling pain and joy. When they're locked inside cages or crates, they endure immense suffering, as their movements are severely restricted, they can't engage in any of their natural behaviour, and they have no control over their lives. Studies have shown that psychological distress in animals kept in zoos is so common that it has its own name called Zoochosis. Thus keeping animals in zoos are cruel as it will lead to consequences.

I disagree that keeping animals in zoos is cruel. Zoos are protecting the animal species from the wild and also from extinction. Animals get fed by zookeepers which is much safer for animals as they do not have to hunt for food if they lived in the forests. If animals in zoos get injured, the zoos keeper can help bandage them instead of animals being in the wild and crying for help. Research has also shown that peoples well-being after going to zoos is better than before. Animals can bring joy to us humans and animals can also help our mental health. We also learn more about wildlife when we go to the zoos to see animals and we can learn about their natural habitat and what they eat and those type of things. When animals put on shows for us, we can enjoy the show by watching the animals perform which can make our day. Therefore, having zoos is not that bad in the end as it can bring joy to us.

In addition, they would be properly fed as the zoo care takers would feed them food at the appropriate time as some animals struggle to find food due to climate change such as the polar bear for example, polar bears now struggle to find food as the ices are melting not allowing them to properly hunt for food. Some other animals that struggle due to climate change not just because of food are: snow leopards, whales, bumble bees and green sea turtle. Thus, i disagree that keeping animals in zoos are cruel as they would be well protected from global warming and predators in the wild.

A species protected in captivity provides a reservoir population against a population crash or extinction in the wild. Here they are relatively safe and can be bred up to provide foundation populations.”Therefore, concluding that zoos do not support animal cruelty. it also benefits almost extincted animals from going truely extinct.

I disagree that keeping animals in zoos is cruel because animals are kept in zoos to make sure that they are safe and are in good shape. If animals were to be out in the wild they would be hunted down by predators or hunters. Animals are also being feed good and healthy food inside of in the wild when the word is unsafe and unhealthy. Animals also can get treatment as soon as possible unlike in the wild where no one is there to seek the animals if injured. Thus, keeping animals in zoos are not cruel but for the animals safety.
