         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><strong>Primary function: Used to transport gases such as CO2 and O2</strong></li></ul><div><br><br></div><ul><li><strong>Describe how the cell's shape and lack of mitochondria assist the cell in effectively carrying its primary function: The cells have a biconcave shape, that allows for increased surface area in respect to volume, so more O2 could bind to it.  The lack of mitochondria aid in the transport of gases because the cells do not use up O2 to move.</strong></li></ul><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
