I also thought that it could be useful to have at the end of a module as a way of students asking questions to the tutor- as you are able to see if someone has asked the same question and therefore you don't need to repeat it and some students may want to remain anonymous if they are asking a questions that they feel they should already know the answer to, or are less confident than other learners.

Rebecca Oliver
I love this and think it is particularly great for those students who feel intimidated about asking questions in front of the class - they can post them on here anonymously and get an answer (it is then also there as a point of reference for others to see - they probably wanted to ask a similar question too).

We use a padlet page in Carlisle for all our modules (FoCP, PDS6 and HBP). We use it a lot in FoCP mainly to post an 'x-ray of the week' and get the students to report it anonymously - we now hide the posts until the end of the week as we found students just copied others. Worked really well.

I had never thought of using it for evaluation though, think it would be great as its truly anonymous, but learners would have to be motivated to go away and access it after the session.

Following on from Joe & Helen, being able to see previous posts may bias a new poster towards those views leading to over-representation (this post being a prime example!). re: feedback I wonder if there is the option for posts to be initially be hidden from eachother & only the teacher/administrator see? and once all commented make posts public? may reduce the initial "copying" effect?

So I can see the advantages of this as a tool. The ability to upload a variety of media is helpful. Always useful to have the option of anonymity for feedback or to encourage people to answer when they are not feeling sure of the answer.
I think most of the time medical students should have the maturity to not abuse the system Devil's advocate- I think the benefit outweighs the risk.
Is there a way of seeing other peoples responses if you upload a response first Rebecca Oliver?
The downside is the inability to interact with someone else post.
And I think that people are not very good at non-generic evaluation but to be fair too many clinical teachers are not very good at non-generic feedback.

This seems like a great platform for collaboration among learners and teachers. The ability to share files, links, and utilise other tools provided by this platform encourages sharing of material and resources which i think is amazing. I was also pleased to be able to access this on my mobile without much disruption to the overall interface (e.g. moodle mobile version can sometimes be quite painful to use compared to moodle desktop version); hence, I feel learners will be more motivated to engage in the kind of interactions and collaboration this platform provides. However, I do agree that abuse or inappropriate use or sharing of material/content/resources can take place should one decide to remain anonymous - i say this because i googled the term "padlet learning tool" and there were few what i call 'open-access' padlets and if you were not a group member, you could still post inappropriate comments or feedback anonymously - worse, you can use the name of one of the group members (e.g. Vicky Tay or Sadie Perkin) and make a post! Yikes!
