The selection of characters is infinite. I would be a ranger. Ranger in Wild West terms means somebody who is rouge but still on the side of fairness and justice. I would stop robberies with my trusty pistols and ride into the sunlight never to be seen again by that town. I'd be the unknown protector of the Wild West. Also I really enjoy horse riding, even though I've only been once, and riding on my trusty steed would be an everyday pleasure. I'd find the world's worst criminals on the wanted posters and collect the sweet bounty. I'd also be into smithing, leatherwork and craftsmanship, which was very useful back then, and make saddles, buckles and pistols with precious and expensive materials. I'd be the talk of the whole West. As well as being on he good side I may also make small heists of my own to help my crafting and living. Being a ranger would make every day worth jumping on my horse and getting on the move. 

Cacti, Tumbleweeds, farmland, cattle, cowboys working hard, the pony express, abandoned shacks full of goodies and epic rock formations surround you in the Wild West. Riding from one town to another would be like a sightseeing holiday. Farmland would be beautiful to walk past and herds of cattle lowing would be like a lullaby whilst you fall asleep next to a crackling fire under the stars. Not to mention the hundreds of abandoned mineshafts to explore and raid. With an oil lamp, a pick axe and swag I would be just like Indiana Jones as I discovered the secrets of these tunnel networks. The Wild West is like a playground for people to enjoy. 

The Wild West is full of things to be, do and see for everyone. So jump in a time machine and back we go.
