It allows the user to collaborate with others to create music with a decents midi sounds and also a live microphone. You can also edit, mix, change, and add affects to the recordings made. It has a two week free trial of all the features, and then after two weeks gives you just the free version, which may limit you to 5 projects with limited sound selection, and exports only as .wav or .mp3 files. While it can function as a place for debate of societal or political issues, it can just as easily be used to debate character motivation in a novel or the ethics of scientific research, or to help a class make a decision about something as simple as a field trip. It's a good platform to teach the importance of reasoned, respectful arguments when trying to persuade others. However, most teachers will likely want to create a private discussion limited to students only rather than have students participate in public discussions.
