On a scale of 1-10, I would rank it to be about a 5 for how hard it may be for a patient to make diet changes. This is because it won't necessarily have any effects on their rotator cuff injury but it can be a struggle to make changes since they're already going through other areas of difficulty such as pain or negative mental health while dealing with their injury.

In order to make this lifestyle change, a nutritionist would be helpful.

Emotional support is crucial after a rotator cuff injury because the recovery process can be physically and mentally challenging. Pain, limited mobility, and the inability to perform everyday tasks or engage in favorite activities can lead to feelings of frustration. Having a strong support system provides encouragement, and motivation to stick with the rehabilitation process. Emotional support can also help reduce stress and provide a sense of connection that fosters overall well-being during recovery.

Being educated on how you can prevent injuries like a rotator cuff is crucial especially if you are in a career that involves heavy lifting or throwing. Staying educated can help you protect yourself and continue what you love doing. Several people may not be educated on safety because they might not think it'll happen to them so they don't care to be educated. This is how injuries occur.

Athletic rotator cuff injury are especially common because they're a repeated use of your shoulder when there's strain on it; however, lots of the time the strain is caused because the sport movement isn't being executed. In sports like baseball, tennis, and swimming coaches could be trained in how their athletes can have proper technique that minimizes shoulder strain. They could also be trained in certain shoulder stretches and use of resistance bands because this can help stretch the shoulder out which decreases the injury risk after a long practice. This would be aimed at individual coaches and could be implemented as a policy for training new coaches. This could possibly be challenging because it might cost money and be hard for all coaches in those sports to change how they coach.

Prevention of rotator cuff injuries - Mackenzie Liebau

A common determinator of rotator cuff injuries is overuse. Therefore a public health intervention that should be used is terminating any use of the shoulder as soon as pain appears. By doing so, a person is less likely to overwork that area which can prevent further damage such as a rotator cuff tear. Public health measures that can be taken are promoting the avoidance of overuse of a body part. For example, signs that state "Know when enough is enough for your body" could encourage people to be more aware of how they treat their body. Preventative exercises such as good posture and stretching are also very important.
