After thinking about the different life stages, I personally believe that infancy is the ideal stage. Infants are provided with unconditional love, joy, and development that adults get to witness and enjoy. An example of this is my nephew. Watching him grow up from birth to age 1 currently is probably the most wholesome thing I have ever witnessed. From his first "Mama" to sitting, to tooth, to crawling, to finally walking and standing on his own, it has been one amazing journey being able to witness that. Each and every day he begins to explore new things and adapt to new behavior which just brings joy to not only myself but to my family too.

Personally, I loved the way this class was structured with 3 exams and one oral exam. Being able to have that student- teacher interaction really is reassuring and does give off the college experience some students may be looking for. One thing I would personally change is using external links. It tends to get very confusing and students do end up falling behind just because they have to check multiple different websites at once which can be hectic when they have 4 or 5 different courses. Other than that, this class was a blast!

Holland's Career Test 2 does seem different in terms of results compared to Test 1. However, both results do align with what I want to be down the road and do support the ideology of being a physician which I am not shocked about. I love biology and human anatomy!

The do align with my current goals of becoming a physician as I do love human anatomy as well as Biology in general.

A real-world example where I tend to experience "Flow" a lot is within the research team I lead. As a premed student that is working with surgeons and M2s and M3s, I tend to find a lot of satisfaction being able to design the experiment, ensure proper data is collected, and follow up with data analysis regarding the experiment. During these projects, I would spend countless hours both at the hospital and at home planning what to do for the next day and being able to coordinate my peers to complete the tasks that best suit them. When being committed to publishing papers, making sure all the data is accurate is very meaningful which keeps me fully engaged with the project. There are times were I would stay till 2/3 am because I often lose track of time doing something I am so passionate about. The combination of not only the intellectual challenge, but the collaboration with peers who are older and more knowledgeable than myself does show the potential I have. It tends to be very rewarding to have your paper published and into a conference where thousands of doctors listen to the findings we have found.

One of the most important lessons I learned from chapter 13 (page 370) is the concept of Memory Challenges in the Late Life. Understanding that individuals in the late life stage, tend to have a decline in memory capacity. As depressing as this sounds, not all memory is affected. As stated in the E-Book, the decline in the types of memory are primarily episodic memory which involves recalling specific events, situations, or experiences the elderly individual may have encountered while younger. This means things that the elderly think of everyday will tend to stick with the individual assuming the person is healthy. Even though some life stories are lost within history, the elderly will still recall many things that happen regarding children, grandchildren, and major life lessons like a past spouse.

With regard to chapter 14, one of the most impactful pieces of information that I took to heart personally is understanding the measures needed to try and prevent neurocognitive disorders. As someone who has lost people due to Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, this one hit home. (page 410). As age goes up, the cognitive decline is drastic, and being able to fight off neurocognitive disorders becomes a priority. It hurts seeing someone who once knew who you were forget you even though they are staring directly at you. The chapter goes in depth on what exactly individuals can do to help fight off Alzheimer's disease and does have promising results as the amount of people who are diagnosed with these disorders as dropped over 13% per decade.

This actually surprised me. Most people tell me I look a lot older than I am just because of the lack of sleep and stress I endure on the daily. With regard to the exam, it does seem i am 2 years under due to the amount of exercise I do everyday. I tend to spend 2ish hours in the gym everyday to weight lift and get some cardio done for my cardiovascular health. I also do watch what I eat and make sure that I get the proper macros in with a balance diet. The Protein to fats to carbs must be balanced in order to keep a solid mindset with a healthy body. Two things I learned going into this test to determine age is that diet is very important which I tend to keep in check. Having a proper diet will help you both physically and mentally which keeps me "younger" than my actual age. Diets lead to an increase or decrease in blood pressure which can directly affect the disorders in the body along with the everyday quality of life. The second thing I learn is the amount of exercise someone does on the day to day basis is very important. Physical fitness is directly related with the amount of stress a body has and even though I lack sleep, physical fitness helps the body relax and stay in top notch form. This also has a direct relationship with decreasing anxiety which is very good to know.

This exam told me I would live to 89 years old. Even though that seems like a very long time from now, I am already 25% of the way there! I noticed that I need to start picking up the pace if I want to reach all my goals and accomplish all my personal bucket lists such as skydiving and more in this lifetime! Two important things I learned while doing this exam is that it mostly asks about past family medical experiences along with the amount of times I see a family member. It seems to me that being able to inherit medical disorders can affect the age expectancy which means that individuals with these disorders must take into account what medical treatments they need and to seek them out as soon as possible. Following that, learning that being around people who love and care for you keeps you motivated to strive for more. This in turn helps not only your financial situation to work harder, but alters your mindset to not give up and keep trying your best.
