Kat’s character- Buzz Feed This post is about how to become a feminist like Kat Stratford. You should be able to have your own say in life, you don’t have to listen to others if you don’t think it’s right. Don’t conform to other as you need to stay true to yourself. You don’t have to worry what others are thinking about you, always stay positive and don’t bring yourself down to others level. If you want to say or do something, go out and do it, voice your opinions as they are yours and no one else’s. Cheyenne Hayes

Kat Stratford is a modern feminist, she’s isn’t the typical ones seen protesting in the 60s she’s a progressive woman who wishes for gender equality. Kat in the film has a specific song associated with her personality, “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett which reflects her individuality and non-conformist views.Kat does not fit in with the rest of her peers unlike her sister Bianca who is the epitome of a”goody-two-shoes” persona. As a renowned feminist, Kat makes sure her voice/ opinions is her because she doesn’t wish to back down to anyone and expresses that voicing your own beliefs is a basic right not a luxury. Kat’s character is a typical modern-day feminist she possesses all the qualities of her highschool label.
Suzanna Islam
