We think the structure for the morning meeting is really important. Sometimes we like to add different activities that weren't mentioned in the video like mindfulness, solving conflicts that come up, planning events, etc.

We liked that teacher did not have a big role during the meeting. We would like to have more student leadership during the morning meeting so that students can choose the greeting, pick the game, or teach a game.

Listening is a very important skill that we can develop during the morning meeting. Sometimes we find it is difficult for students to listen to each other and respond so this would be a great time to develop that skill. Students should have more agency in leading the morning meetings as the year goes on.

Students should feel like they belong in the environment, feel comfortable to share their feelings. Have a meeting in a different location depending on student needs - if they are having issues on the soccer field, go to the soccer field to solve the issues.
