He began with working in an upholstery shop while performing and recording demos in Detroit. He grew to prominence with his band The White Stripes. From there he has performed and recorded with new bands like the Dead Weather, The  Raconteurs (my favorite), and very successful solo career. He has also launched his own record label, Third Man Records, which runs a vinyl record plant in his home town of Detroit, helping to bring life back to the community and the vinyl record industry. He inspires me because he created some of my favorite marvel characters, and I consider myself to be a fan of marvel. I chose him because also included himself in lots of marvel movies, which is something I have never really seen a writer do before which is something I think is cool. He was in a lot of Marvel movies like Deadpool and The Amazing Spider-man 2. He also served in World War II as a writer and illustrator which I think was also another accomplishment that he did. He died back in 2018 when I was about 12 years old and was just getting interested in Marvel.
