Heres some fun facts: About 1000 years ago, there used to be a creepy animal that would scare the people in dark nights. This scared people a lot, but one day they found out he was scared of loud noises, fire, and the color red. Once they found that out, they used it for the next time he came. When they did, he ran away and never came back, then people celebrated it more often using what had scared the scary animal and more for a celebration.

Fun facts #2: The Chinese zodiac.
It's been told that the Emperor made a race between each animal, and whoever wins get a year for them. You might not know this but the rat won which is why he's in the first one.

Fun fact #3: Red is a lucky color! Adding to this, they give out red envelopes which includes money for children.

Foods: Egg rolls, noodles, and shrimp. These foods may seem basic but in reality they have a special meaning. Egg rolls represent wealth, Noddles represent a heathy life,  and shrimp represents happiness.
