Hence they have definite shape and structure. Liquids have less density than solids but more than gases. Since the atoms are not very tightly packed they take the shape of the container. Gases have the least density because the atoms and molecules in gases are loosely packed. They are in a state of random motion. <br><br></div>]]></description>

To measure its density,  measure it's dimensions and calculate volume. For liquid, you can pour it in a calibrated beaker or equivalent in order to measure the density because its molecules flow freely past each other. And for gas,  it depends on the temperature and pressure. <br><br></div>]]></description>
