In other words, it is a bad behavior to the Jews, because  they are Jewish. Jews were forced into the role of minority. When things went wrong, the Jews took the blame.

"Kristall" means crystal, and "nacht" means night, so the translation is quite simple. Kristallnacht is called this because the glass shards that littered the street reflected upon by the moon had a crystal like appearance. It is ironic that a name such as Crystal Night is used for the beginning of the mass murder of German and Austrian Jews, and the start of harsh tactics. Crystal night, or the "Night Of Broken Glass", refers to  November 9th and 10th of 1938 when 1000 Jewish synagogues and 7,500 schools and businesses were burned by Nazis and those supporting National Socialist Germany under the Adolf Hitler regime. Germans in support of the Hitler regime used the death of a low-level diplomat in France, by a seventeen year old Polish-Jew as a reason for Kristallnacht. Before the night of Kristallnacht, Nazis were primarily peaceful and non-violent towards Jewish people, but were soon following Gestapo tactics, or by being brutal to those in opposition. These propaganda campaigns also encouraged the acceptance of the upcoming actions against Jews. The article states, "...Nazi propaganda stressed to both civilians at home and to soldiers, police officers, and non-German auxiliaries..."
