Neil's ability to trap you within the minds of the characters in the book is something that I have never experienced before. The realization that this entire book was just a memory of the main characters childhood is very mind blowing. You are forced to believe that the book was just a story of a very strange boys world but come to find out, his strange world was once his reality.
