It is not so much myself creating or playing the music but listening to music is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I use the app Spotify to download my music and save my music, paying for the app is really worth it for the amount of times that I use it within the month. I have gone to various concerts including, Luke Bryan, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. I think the reason that I enjoy listening to music so much is the message that is portrayed through the lyrics. It can really connect to a person and with the experiences that they have gone through. 
In primary school I thought it would be a good idea to learn the guitar. So my mum and dad brought me a guitar and I received lessons at my Primary school. This lasted less than a year, but here is a photograph of my guitar. So when considering where I would sit on Ryan & Healey's table I would say Experiencing the new.

When i was young and in preschool like any child painting was one of my favourite activities. I would paint all day if I had the opportunity. As I got older and moved into high school art was something that I really did not enjoy as it was difficult to understand and I was just not interested in it. Now as an adult and having a gap year I worked within a child care centre, so art was a very prominent part of every day. During the set up of each room you had to think of what art activity would be able to suit the theme of the week or what suited the interests of the children for that day. You had to supervise the art table and communicate and help the children with their art. This helped me to begin to enjoy the concepts and ideas of art as I was able to discover how much joy the children were able to get from painting or drawing different creations. It was fascinating to see how their imaginations worked and the pictures they created. This was a very eye opening experiences. The evidence that I have attached is a drawing that I completed with a child at the Child Care Centre that I worked at. My place on the Ryan & Healey table would definitely be Experiencing the new.

When I was younger I attended a dance class every Saturday morning for about 3 years. Doing dancing was very fun and great exercise. Being able to be apart of a routine and a concert at the end of the year for a young girl was very exciting and thrilling. Putting on a custom made costume, wearing makeup and getting your hair done is most children's dream. For me, this was one of the highlights for dancing. I was not the most girly girl as I would rather be out in the mud or playing football. So this allowed me to be able to see what the fuss about makeup and costumes was all about. I really enjoyed being able to be apart of a group and learn from a great teacher. The way that they are able to choreograph a whole dance and include everyone is remarkable. 
Since finishing dance class I have continued dancing but not at a regular level as I had when I was young. I now mainly only dance when I am at a night club or out at the pub. I would place in the Experiencing the Known for the element.

My personal experience with media would be classed as experiencing the know (Ryan & Healey, 2008.) My media experience can only be seen as social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, googles searches, mobile phones and computers. I have used computers from a young age. I began using computers at home to play games and then progressed as I began to attend school and started using computers within the computer lab and in the library to complete school work and free time.
When I was in year 10 I was lucky enough to get my first laptop as I attended boarding school. Having a laptop allowed me to be able to complete homework efficiently and quickly and also allowed me to access social media sites whenever I wanted to. I got my first mobile phone when I was in year 7 and since then I have had 5 phones, with having these 5 different phones you can see how times are changing and the way that the world is progressing and how new things are being discovered and invented everyday. For young people within today's society having access to media is something that is taken for granted.

I would be stepping out of my comfort zone in doing this as I worry about getting things wrong so would rather not do them at all. I do enjoy watching people act though, so I do watch a lot of movies and TV series. I have never seen a play live and have never watched a filmed play either. So for this element I would once again say that I am Experiencing the new if I was to ever do anything where drama was involved.
