The first change i would like to make is to eat meat at least 2 times less a week. Meat production emits about 10 percent of carbon dioxide globally. One person who eats a high meat diet emits 15.6 pounds of carbon dioxede. If i were able to eat a bit less the amount of that meat a year a could drop my carbon footprint by a third.

Another way I can drop my ecological footprint is to find other ways of transportation to school other than the school bus. Transportation accounts for 28 percent of carbon emisions. I currently take a bus to school, which is better than taking a car to school everyday but by not taking any vechicles to school, i will decrease my carbon footprint by a lot.

I can also decrease my ecologicol footprint by using less water. Only one precent of water on earth is usuable for consumption. I use lots of water when I shower (some lasting up to 20 mins) which uses about 42 gallons of water. If I can decrease that time to 10 minuites I can decrease that number to 21 gallons.

With my goal to eat less meat to decrease my carbon footprint has been ok but not great. I got braces so i havent been able to eat some meats but still have been eating at least once a day. I have do nothing better when it comes to transportation aspect. With th current weather and my distance from the school it makes it hard to walk at the current time, but I hope that by spring and early summer I can walk more often. As for my water consumption I have be doing well. Most of my showers have gotten under 10 minuites which has been a good improvement but i believe that I can improve that to 5 minuites.

Documentary Reflection

This documentary was suprisginly as interesting as it was confusing and meaningless as it seemed. I highly respected her maturity and ethusiasism towards the issues at hand with the ecological issues at hand she was trying confront on the largest scale possible. However, it seemed as thought the enoumous amounts effort she had put towards confronting this demon of a issue had not done very much to be able to actually resolve or change anything. I imagine this would be a very aggrivating but somehow would push some to try even harder. Which you could she was stirving for. I respect her determination do something about the issue as well as document it to reach even more people. It was quite questionable to see how the efforts of these global meetings did not seem to really create enough change to write home about, but at least they were trying at all. It personally felt as though we are by no means anywhere close to anything that will stop our Earth from quickly decaying beyond return. I think it is quite interesting that our governments arnt pushing as far as they could to save our environment. I believe changes like moving to completly electric car laws could be esstial to at least slowing the issues so that we can create a resoloution. It wa good to see how she stayed in contact with her friend and we were able to see how life may not be getting necessarily worse for us but we are already staring to affect the lives of people around the world. Most of the time these arnt even the people who are causing the issues.
