         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>The kidney is the organ most affected by diabetes. </p><p><br/></p><ol start="2"><li><p><br/></p><p>-Diabetes is a health condition where the body cannot control the level of sugar in the blood properly. This happens because the body either does not make enough insulin or cannot use it well. Without enough insulin, sugar stays in the blood and causes high blood sugar levels </p><p>- different type of diabetes has different causes. For example, type 1 diabetes is caused when the body’s immune system attacks the pancreas and destroys the cells that makes insulin. While type 2 diabetes is caused by being overweight, not exercising enough or having a family with the history of diabetes </p><p>-some key symptoms are feeling very thirsty, slow healing of cuts and wounds and feeling tired and weak </p></li><li><p><br/></p><p>-One way to manage it is to take in insulin as it helps control blood sugar levels</p></li></ol><p>       -one way to prevent it is to eat healthier food, with less          sugar to maintain a normal sugar level </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Treatment focuses mainly on lifestyle changes.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Key treatments:</p><p>1. Weight loss </p><p>- Losing 5-10% of body weight</p><p>2. Healthy diet</p><p>- Reducing sugar intake</p><p>3.
