https://youtube.com/shorts/dewhSyfwYTI?si=hX5hYNKaEEi5Wmrd

Arthur Westlake Recreation Reserve in Melton West, Victoria, is a community space offering various amenities, including a playground, picnic areas, and a lake that attracts diverse birdlife. During my visit to the Arthur Westlake Reserve, i felt like connecting with the environment by the peaceful natural area as ducks floating on the water, birds chirping and tree branches rustling and silver water was shining gracefully. As i entered in the lake area everything made me feel so special and welcomed, tree leaves were waving in the air, literally looked like opening arms, ducks were swimming towards and birds gathered around me, i felt like peaceful, grounded and deeper connection with nature in my own thoughts. The lake water seemed reflecting on the soft waves flow as birds and ducks whispers on it. While interacting with nature physically make me to connect with creativity with natural elements in early childhood Education. In my teaching approach to establish a similar setting up tp encourage children to admire the wonder of sound, movement and water as i discovered at the lake, i will be designate an area for children to explore with water play to know more deeper about the movements and its combination with sound and music. Let nature be the teacher” Natural materials give children varied opportunities to feel, smell. See, hear and taste. They can be used for building and creating magical places.( Wilson, R. A. (2018). Nature play chapter 4)

At the lake, i enjoyed watching ducks energetically swimming flapping wings splashing water were chasing each other and sound often signal movement as feet padding with rhythm made me think of a dance, Birds were sitting on floor and chirping by looking and chasing each other was a vibrant fun vibe of the movement in the natural environment. The ducks and birds provided musical impression as they were expressing and communicating with each other in their soft musical voice, i loved watching them and remind me my childhood memories and engaging me with my friend when we make a secret mission while unspoken communication as the nature’s creatures well engaging in their conversation. Environment should be inviting with the resources to experiment with sounds and rhythms in a playful way to get interact with music.(Victor Wooden, Music as a Language Video session 1).

Tree branches moving in the air( Dance movements) Analytical response 2

While i was in the lake entrance area, i observed all tall tree and their branches with the leaves waiving in the air and dancing. Each tree seemed to be like speaking with gestures rather than words .Each movement was inviting me to watch closely, to feel the rhythm which branches were creating in the air. I felt so cheer and joyful during looking up high all the different tall trees. As the breeze picks up, all the branches of the trees lift and leaves rustling like soft appreciation. Traffic was going on around the lake and its sound mixed with the wind and trees become so beautiful melody as birds were also flying and chirping on the trees. Then mutton birds video reminds me how through movements such as stretching pulling and turning around creates a dance movements.(Bangarra education resources session 2 video). This experience has made my understanding deeper about the dance movements in early childhood education that little efforts can become big achievements. To keep this sense of wonder alive, children need frequent opportunities to play freely and creatively in natural outdoor play spaces that are rich in beauty and variety(Wilson. R chapter 1)

When i was deeply listening to the environment from core of my heart with many types of voices of insects like frogs, water bugs, crickets made me feel i was in the jungle or bushes. The sound of the insects resembled me various drum rhythms, heading me to more closer where the frogs and birds were communicating with each other. The insects calls swell and fade, sometimes feels intensity in their voices and create unseen drama. I assumed their drama builds up as per day and night light, insects were louder than before because it was getting dark and sound was insistent. This experience made me to think about values of nature’s diversity. It is important to cultivate the enriching relationships with community, parks or landmarks in the city create social drama connections for children to know more about their surroundings.( The hundred languages of children: The Reggio Emilia page324)
