Personal perspective: I think the salary of teachers in Malaysia will be around RM2500-4000, but from what i observed I guess being a teacher in Malaysia has a lot of non financial benefits as well. 

Local: According to Glassdoor which is a website with different jobs information, they said estimate  salary of teacher is RM3000-RM4450 per month in Kuala Lumpur, which is higher than what Ive expected. BUT teacher rated compensation and recognition has the lowest rate. However, Malay mail stated that “ Malaysia was also second only to China in its GTSI survey in terms of respect for teachers.” 

Global: According to Resilient Educator, a research in 2023 showed New York has the highest salary for teachers, also New York has many benefits as well. I agree that salary can motivate teachers and they will work hard. 

Local/ National Perspective: 

Value Judgement: In Malaysia, the average grade of all students in participate in extra co-curriculum as from the Malaysia 2022 Report Card is a B. The CEIC stated that in Malaysia’s working world 70.1 % of adults are actively participating in the labour force as of 2023. A direct reflection of those who participate in school and those in the workforce is substantially proportional as the average B grade is around 70% in the grading system. 

Global Perspective: 

Why is this issue important? In the working world, participation and initiative is key to innovation and growth in company as new ideas emerge and are expanded on. Additionally, teamwork and collaboration skills are essential for working in such a diverse working world. Being able to share knowledge creates a sense of community and bond between workers and improves the working environment overall. 

Opinion: I think adults participation in learning and education is important because they can acquire new skills relevant to their careers which can lead to better job opportunities.

Local/National Perspective:

According to the OECD library, adults aged 35 to 64 who reside in households with young children are more inclined to engage in adult education compared to those who do not have young children in their households. Moreover, countries with high rates of adult participation in formal education also tend to have high rates of adult participation in non-formal education comparing to countries like Greece, Italy and Turkey.

Global Perspective:

According to the OECD study, NewZealand has one of the highest rates of adult learning. This is because government spend money on tertiary education which is helping higher proportion of young people to achieve qualifications at higher levels and gain the skills they need to succeed in the job market. This tells the significant effects on government allocation to education and spending outside on educational institutions such as loans for living costs, workplace based trainings and student allowances.
