After this, the camera and lighting team met with the tech team to discuss various aspects of the film, including cinematography techniques to enhance overall quality. This involved conversations on camera angles, storytelling methods, lighting strategies, and more. The next steps involved working with Wren and the tech team to develop a shot list.

Finally, the Location Meeting covered topics, including an overview of existing filming locations and exploration of potential future sites for the film.

Then, Wren, the technical crew, and I held a meeting with the technical department to finalise the booking of equipment for the shoot.

Finally, Wren, the location managers, and I did a recce of the planned filming locations to confirm they were suitable before completing risk assessments and location release forms.

I finished off by typing up the notes for the day and sending a wrap report to Molly and Wren.

The Breakdown Sheet will be sent to the director and 1st AD, while the Call Sheets will be sent to the entire cast and crew. To prevent confusion, these documents will be sent out one day prior to filming, except for Monday shoots, where I will send the sheets out the Friday before.

Included in this document are details such as the crew call time, the nearest hospital, important production notes, a breakdown of scenes slated for the day, detailed scene descriptions, the cast members participating, the shoot location, specific department instructions, and contact numbers for everyone involved.

The breakdown sheet includes details such as the scenes slated for filming, the intended atmosphere of each scene, the cast members involved, notes on props and set dressing, technical equipment requirements, sound and music specifications, as well as any makeup and hair information.

This report include details such as the shoot day, location, call time, the first scheduled shot, wrap time, the number of scenes initially planned, any additional filming undertaken, and any scenes left unfinished.

I will make and send these daily wrap reports to the director and assistant director. This ensures that they are well-informed about our schedule, allowing for adjustments and planning as needed.

The hair, makeup, and costume departments were located in Jerome's room, the camera, lighting, and sound crews set up in the kitchen, while the props and set dressers arranged the living room set where our filming took place.

Each department was assigned a production coordinator to oversee tasks and address any arising issues.

Throughout the shooting day, we found out that one actor would be unavailable for a shooting day next week. I worked with the AD, we reorganised the shooting schedule to ensure the continuity of planned scenes.

Throughout the filming process, I managed the clapper board, recording the correct scene, shot, and take details to streamline the editing phase.

We had the task of completing 14 setups in 4 hours, so me, the director, and the AD decided what the best way of shooting the shots would be. We decided it would be best to prioritise wider shots, with a plan to film close-ups in pairs if we were running out of time.

Our planning paid off, and we captured all the planned shots, wrapping up at 18:15. After leaving the set, I made and distributed the call sheet and breakdown sheet for the following day's filming.

Additionally, the daily wrap report, summarising the day's achievements, was completed and distributed to the entire team.

Throughout, my main concerns were managing our limited filming time and making sure all team members were engaged. One challenge we faced was the need to assign multiple roles to each team member, resulting in some responsibilities being shared among several people.

Particularly with the production coordinators, I made an effort to maintain their level of involvement during today's shoot. I assigned one coordinator the responsibility of managing the Clapper board. This involved ensuring accurate information was recorded on it between takes and saying that information to the camera before shooting.

The other coordinator took on the role of a runner, where they gathered and escorted team members on set between scenes.

We successfully captured all scheduled shots and managed to wrap up precisely at 7:00 pm as originally planned.

Given the chilly weather conditions, I advised to bring individuals outside only when absolutely necessary. The camera and lighting crew came outside to set up first. Once they were set, I called for the sound crew to join, followed by the actors.

The actors kept their coats and overlays on during rehearsals. For each take, I recommended the production assistant collect their coats, returning them during breaks to prevent the actors getting too chilly.

I gave the clapper board duties to the production coordinator, who also multitasked in handling lighting and sound responsibilities today. This gave others the opportunity to do lighting and camera work, giving a chance for those less experienced, while also allowing Hannah to do her role as a production coordinator.

To manage the cold conditions, we kept cast and crew members not actively involved at specific times indoors. I designated one of the Production Coordinators to pass on messages and updates to them, ensuring everyone remained informed about the filming progress and location.

As we waited for the sun to set for night scenes, our team engaged in practical preparations.

Our supervisor Georgiana informed that she was planning to visit and assess our progress on the film. Once the sun had set, we picked up filming once again.

We had 2.5 hours left to film our remaining scenes and so we did tasks such as dressing the set, doing a line run, and blocking scenes for the actors during the break to make the filming process smoother.

We had a few issues regarding the blocking and camera angles at first. Despite these setbacks, we sorted the issues and successfully filmed the required shots.

The delays had a push back effect on the overall shooting timeline. Despite the obstacles, we continued and got all the necessary filming.

A member of the sound team was absent, so I placed on of the production coordinators on the boom, while another sound team member monitored the recording.

We also had crew members missing in the hair, makeup, and costume departments so I placed another production coordinator on this department. I took responsibility for the clapper board also throughout filming today.

When arriving on set I began the setup process, with the kitchen being the location for hair, makeup, and costume preparations for the actors. Meanwhile, the technical team set up in the living room, and the props/set dressing team dressed the set. I designated a production coordinator for each department.

I also began the reimbursement process for individuals who had made purchases for our project. The receipts for these purchases were required to be forwarded to Mark, the individual overseeing the budget. Today, I gathered the funds, and started to transfer the owed money to the people who had submitted valid reimbursement requests.

One challenge was the unpredictable weather. Our call time was set for 5:30 pm, and throughout the day it was raining heavily which restricted our plans for exterior scenes. The weather app, suggested the rain would stop at 6:30pm. During the first hour, we set up and made sure we were ready to start straight away once the rain stopped.

At 6:30 pm, the rain continued. The production coordinators, PA/Continuity department, and I used umbrellas to protect the technical equipment and prevent damage. The sound department informed us that the rain noise was still audible through the microphone. To address this, I suggested relocating the sound department inside the house to record sound through the window. While this helped to some extent, I also suggested recording a separate wild track of the rain, which could be added to sections of the scene filmed during rain-free moments.

The second challenge was when a cast member was delayed to arrive on set. This actor had previously informed us of a holiday during the final filming week. Despite rearranging the shooting schedule, the cast member's return flight was delayed. To work around this, I suggested redistributing lines among other actors for the scenes involving the absent cast member, allowing us to shoot around their absence. This proved effective, as it allowed us to film wide shots when the actor arrived.

As we reached the end of the shoot, which had moved outdoors, we found an SD Card on the ground. We inserted it into a laptop and found all the footage that was initially corrupted.

We concluded the day with two versions of each scene. This situation provided valuable lessons on problem-solving in the filmmaking process, emphasising that despite unfortunate situations occuring, practical solutions can always be sorted.
