I think I met my first goal, to be prepared, but not the second one, help my classmates participate.

I don't think I met my second goal because that me and another kid were doing a LOT of the talking and kept adding on. But I think I met my first goal because I added on, participated, and had quotes to share.

I think my group did ok. Maybe some of us could have participated a little bit more...

I think we did well with sharing evidence and adding on but we could work on checking page numbers and deepening our thinking....

My classmates showed the skill of being able to add to another's evidence and extend learning. 

My goals for our next discussion would definitely include being prepared, allowing others to participate, deepening my connections and actively listening. 

I think next time I will plan to pause or ask questions to try and encourage participation or encourage my classmates to answer and communicate.

I believe that I met my goals. Every time I spoke, I made sure I had a clear claim, evidence from the text, and a so what. I also used my pink markings to reach quotes including figurative language, and animal treatment.
 My group didn't reach its full potential. For the members trying to demonstrate their understanding of the text, it was hard to show their thinking due to others' distracting commentary. I believe that to reach a good outcome in Harkness discussions, the whole group should be committed to the discussion. In my experience, this was not the case, and part of the group did not use critical thinking. 
We did good at listening to each other in the 2nd part of the discussion, yet when we added on there was a poor structure and only quotes without an explained meaning.
Someone in the 1st discussion group thought outside of the box at the author's craft, and the character's futures using the history we learned. I thought this was interesting to hear, as well as innovative. It led me to think deeper about Beverley Naidoo's intentions when writing Out of Bounds. 
I want to ask questions that induce critical thinking, to aid my classmates in extending their thinking. 
I believe that this time I had a good strategy. Whilst reading the stories, though, I think it would be good for me to already include symbols related to future discussions, so I don't have to read the story again in detail.

2. I believe i met my goals because I didn't repeat what other people were saying and built on another comment.
3. I believe that my group went fairly well, but went off topic way too much. Someone could have said something then someone else said something completely different to what the person said.
4. One thing we did well was that everyone said something, and one thing we could have improved was the saying something that isint connected to the other comment.
5. One thing that someone in the discussion said that influenced my thinking was how the gun ishowed power and ruling. That was a big point for me in the discussion.
6.My goal for the next discussion is to be more of a leader in the discussion.
7. Next time I will prepare questions/ claims for my disccusion beforehand, to be more prepared.

My goals For the discussion were to have quotes, connections, and also special parts prepared for the circle. Also, I wanted to make it easy to add to other peoples comments, and connections. 

2. I believe I met part of my goals, because even though I didn't talk much, when I was gonna say something, somebody else said it, and the other part, I didn't make.

3. I don’t believe my group went kind of well, but only like 2-4 people talked.

4. One thing I think My group did well was that we kept on topic. One thing I did our group did not do well was participate. Everybody talked at least once, but only the same people kept talking.

5. One skill was how we shared evidence, and adding to each other, not going all the way back to a page, and saying something completely different for example.

6. My goals for the next discussion are to TALK MORE!

7. Next time I will try to prepare a claim, an evidence, and a conclusion in all my comments.
