This book is from the Troy Cummings series The Notebook of Doom which is apart of the Branches line from Scholastic. This book is very easy to read and very catchy. I bought several books from the series and am excited to read them. In my opinion these books are almost the new age version of Goosebumps. In this book Alexander is already weary of monsters in his town, however now they are even in his school!! With an abnormally delicious school menu of candy, pie and ice cream for lunch of everyday, he knows something is up. After his suspicions rise his friend Rip goes missing. After discovering that all of the schools new staff are vegetables Alexander and his other friend Nikki come up with a plan to stop them. They slice and dice their way through all the veggies and end up saving the Chili Supper for the adults. This is definitely a cute series that I am looking forward to reading more from.
