Khan Academy presents students with short video lessons. I would describe it as a virtual or online tutoring site for free. While Khan Academy's main focus is math and science they also provide videos which focus on computing, arts and humanities, economics, life skills, test prep, reading, and language arts. For example if I were wanting to get some assistance with AP college statistics I could go to Khan Academy and do so. The site delves into each specific unit and provides a video for each topic within the unit as well as practice problems and quizzes. I really think Khan Academy is a great resource for anyone and everyone who may need assistance. I would suggest that students refer to it outside of the classroom. Maybe when doing homework or in an instance where in class the material wasn't clear. Khan Academy is also very specific to auditory and visual learners. It is an overview of a blackboard in which all material is being drawn on to with a narrated overview. I highly recommend this tool for anyone of all ages as you can find assistance with Kindergarten math all through AP college calculus.
