This is the story of a kid named Stanley Yelnats whose life turned upside down when suddenly a pair from shoes fell from very high. Holes is an incredible book written by Louis Sachar that has a lot of suspense. I think that this is the best book in english I've read, this book is awesome. It has lots of surprises and that makes this book incredible. I was very surprised at the end, this book is a true 'page turner' and I love that. I recomend this book to anyone who wants to read about action, adventure an mistery.I definitely give this book 10/10

You´ll love it!
Holes is an awesome book, it´s very interestering, is got a lot of conections and mistery. It´s about the life of a kid that was unfairly punished and he went to camp.
My favorite part was at the end because the ending is shocking. I like it a lot because is very mysterious. I recomend this book to the ones that love mystery and beautiful endings, like kids of 10-12 years old.

Holes is a a great novel written by Louis Sachar that has a lot of mystery. I think this is one of my favorite books of my life because I love drama and mystery. The story is about a kid that has 2 options on his life, either jail, or a camp with a lot of secrets!
I don't like that the book doesn't have a second part but I give it a 10/10 because it's a great book. I recommended this book for younger readers or the readers that love mystery!
My favorite part of the book is the ending because it's very exciting.

This book was awesome! I loved when we started reading this book about a kid that was unfairly punished and goes to a camp that has mistery and secrets. It was a page-turner and blew my mind. Everytime I had to read, I was excited to know what was going to happen. Something that I didn't like is that there isn't a second part!!! I really would like to know how this great story was going to continue. I really recommend this book for kids from 10 to 12 years old because you're going to feel that everything that happens, it's REAL. I rate this book with a 10 out of 10. Read it, you will love it!

I didn't like the book because I think that the scenes and the flashbacks of the story confuse you. And the scenes with the characters were bad for me.

I recomend this book to teenagers, I think that it's going to be good for 6 grade and for 5 grade.

The book was fantastic, I will give it a 8/10 because it isn' t the tipe of book that I like, I think that this book is a litlle bit tense and has drama, so people who like drama and tension will like the book very much.I think this book is for 10-11+ because there is a part that is a litlle bit violent. The part that i liked the most was the end, where something special happens. My favorite character was a boy whose name means what he values.

Holes is one of the best novels I have read. It starts with a really shocking event, something I really like from the book is that it's realistic. I'm sure that if you read the book it will make you stay up and read and till 3AM. I give the book a 9/10, and I recomend it to kids from 7 to 9

The book is about akid named Stanley who is cursed, he is always in the wrong place at the wrong moment, that curse began many generations ago, and that situacion brought him to another and Stanley would end up in a big problem. The justice system would put him in Camp Green Lake, were he will meet new people and discover with us his family's past. First, the book tried to be mysterious, but it was boring. Then with the past events I was really confused. Holes is not my type of book, it’s a really easy book that I think it could be read (in spanish) by 8 year old kids because it has a lot of adventure.
Conclusion: 4/10 :)

The start is boring, then it is more interesting and at the end it's very exiting and I would put it a 8/10 cause of a little violence ,injustice ,cruelty and some death.
It would be for older readers ; of more than 10 years.
I liked it because of the most mindblowing part of the book .
My favourite character is Zero because we can learn from him.
It's a fictional story because the places and character are not real
You would like this book if you like action books, that is why I liked it.
The movie is old so I don't recommend you to watch it.

Holes is a fantastic book about Stanley, a poor young boy. he also said he is always a the wrong place, in the at the wrong time, and Zero is his best friend, Stanley is my favorite caracter, he is a like me because we are both introverts, I think it is a book for young readers because is emotional and it could help them in school in case they suffer from bullying and I give the book 10/10.

I really love the story but I got confused when it change the time setting. It's about the main character who has really bad luck and gets blamed for stealing shoes, they decide to take him to a camp, there he meets a lot of people, the conflict and drama starts there. I really like how the author describes the characters and their personalities. My favorite character is Zero because of his character development and I felt really attached to him. I prefer the movie because I think it has a better ending. I think people who like mystery, some action, teens and kids will like this book.

I put nine of ten because at the beginning was not very intresting but when you read for a while it gets interesting. I recomend this book for the person that like mistery.
The book is about a kid called Stanley whose father is an inventor, his family was getting poor his parents decided that he would choose if he wanted to go to a camp or to a jail for a while and Stanley chose The Camp.
The Camp is called Camp Green Lake, but there was a problem: the camp had no LAKE.
My favorite part of the book was when Stanley and Zero went up to the mountain.

For me the book is interesting, has a lot of mystery, trips of the past and the present telling us the history of Camp Green Lake. This book tells us the story of a boy named Stanley Yelnats, that always has bad luck, because of a curse that fell on his family. That's what brings Stanley to Camp Green Lake.

I give the book an 8 out 10 because it didn't call my attention like others stories.

Holes is a great book, I definitely recomend it for all mistery lovers out there. It's about an unlucky boy named Stanley Yelnats who gets sent to Camp Green Lake, a reformatory for kids and teens who get in trouble for breaking the law. He and the other kids will have to dig a hole of exactly five feet wide and five feet deep per day, there aren't any lakes in Camp Green Lake. But there are for sure tons of awful holes. But, it won't take Stanley a long time to realize the camp isn't just some reformatory.
My favourite character is The Warden, even though she's the villan, she was very well written and described as a powerful woman, I saw her as a role model, although there is some rotten stuff about her I wouldn't really like to develop in my personality.
I give the book a 9/10 because I'd like to know some more about the characters.

The book is interesting, it's full of mysteries. I think that for someone under 10 years for age it wouldn't be interesting or they wouldn't know what is going on. The chapters are short, but enough to be a fan.
I would like it more if the story talked more about some characters.

This book is about a boy, Stanley, who was blamed of a crime that he didn't commit. After that, he was sent to Camp Green Lake, a camp for bad boys where you dig holes that are 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide "to build character". But soon he discovered that he was not there just to dig holes, he was actually looking for something.

My favorite character is Katherine Barlow, a white woman who teaches children, but because of racism, his lover was killed, and she became an outlaw.
This story is a page-turner and it will leave you wanting to read more!
I think that this book is readable for all ages, even adults will like the book!

Holes is a book with so many details. I personally recommend it for people from 10 to 13. My favorite charcter was Zero, because I identifed with him. This is a book about a little guy that unfortunately it was in the wrong place at the wrong time, so the police set him to Camp Green Lake where all the book happened.

Holes is a fantastic book, about a person called Stanley Yelnats that went to the prision for something that he didn´t do and they gave him the nickname Caveman. He met a little boy called Zero, whose real name is Hector Zeroni. He didn't now how to write and Stanley helped him. The name of the book is Holes because they dug holes to find incredible things.
I give it 4/5 because I didn´t understand some parts of the book.

Holes was written by Louis Sachar, it's interesting because it has a lot of mistery and you have to think a lot of things. Stanley is the main character and he has to go to Camp Green Lake because he did something and his punishment was to dig holes but, that place it was not exactly for that... I recommend this book for kids and teenagers, the ending was my favorite part and my favorite character it was Zero. I give this book 9/10 because i like it but, it could have more text.

The start of the book is intresting and intriguing because it has mistery and a lot of characters. Some chapters are not relevant to the story, but the main character is very good I felt identified with him, he is very nice. My favorite character is Stanley because I think he is a good person and a good friend. Holes is for teenagers. I will give it 8.8/10

I didn't like very much, but I think for people who like friendship and strong work, this is the perfect book . My favorite part is when the kid goes to camp , think that the book is for 10+

Holes is an amazing book that I would totally recommend to all the people who love suspense.

This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats that's always at the wrong place and at the wrong time, which makes him get in a lot of trouble and one of this times he will have to pay the consequences of his family curse that is what makes him have such bad luck. But don't feel bad for him yet because all things happen for a reason, in this case the reason will be attending a camp but not a regular camp, Camp Green Lake where he's going to get in trouble, get people out of trouble and many adventures, that you will have to figure it out on your own. I give this book an 8.5/10 because although I really enjoyed reading it I would like the author to talk more about other character and show more about their past.

Holes, a book written by Louis Sachar, is a story about a guy called Stanley who supposedly stole some shoes and because of that he went to Camp Green Lake.
The book has a lot of suspense which I really like, and also some funny moments in the story and the ending was something that just blew my mind.
I personally recomend the book for little kids or maybe teenagers. I think the book is pretty good but it could still be better, I wanted more details abouts the caracters' stories.
I give it a 7.5/10

Holes has good parts and bad parts. The first one is that the book is so interesting and all the characters too. They have good personalities; they are funny, intelligent , curious and responsible because they work very hard.

In my opinion, the bad parts were that the book was boring, because I feel that it does not have much action and some chapters are hard to understand.

My favorite part is when Zero punches Mr. Pendansky with a shovel. It is the only really funny part and, he deserved it.
Zero was the only one who stood up to him. He is the only brave, funny, and kind of dumb person, but that's what made him the best character .

I give 6.5/10 because I'd like to know a little more about the past of all the characters, and a little more action would not hurt.

Holes is a book about Stanley Yelnats, a boy that is always at the wrong place at the wrong time, which makes himget in trouble. One of these times he was accused of stealing the shoes of a famous person, he didn’t steal the shoes, he had to choose to go to jail or Camp Green Lake. I liked how this story tells the flashbacks, sometimes I got confused, but I like how it's narrated. I think that children of 12 or more would enjoy and understand the book.

This is a book filled with adventures , mysteries and excitement. The main characters , Stanley and Zero , may in Camp Green Lake for being caught commiting “crime”. Then , they have adventures of their own. I liked when Zero and Stanley met. I really felt in their own shoes when they were struggling to survive outside Camp Green Lake on their own. What I didn’t like is that Stanley and Zero were blamed for something they didn’t do. Overall, I liked the book and I would recommend it , I would give it a 7/10.

Holes is something bizzare but interesting at the same time its something that I personally like but it can be better

when stanly gets accused of stealing a famous person's shoes and they make him decide if he wants to go to jail or camp green lake I said... hold up

In united states that's something that doesn't happens because if you steal shoes from a normal or famous person you dont go to jail or to another place you go to a commissary and bring the shoes back with a warning but all except that its a good history

In my opinion It's a book for +10 years, The theme is perfect, but, because it's an old movie, it has bad graphics, and that's why I give it 9/10.

The story is about a boy who commits a "robbery" so he is taken to a camp where he has to dig holes to rebuild his behavior. My favorite characters was Zero, because I really liked the attitude of the character a lot. For me Holes was a very good book, I give it a 9/10 because it has the perfect amount of drama, suspense and everything. I really liked the author's writing although the flashbacks were a bit difficult to understand. I think that the book can be read by everyone because for me it depends more on people's taste, although I think the people who may like the book the most are people over 10 because I think that normally at that age people start to be interested in things like jail and that kind of thing that you can certainly find in the book

Holes is an exciting and interesting book. The book is about a boy named Stanley who steals a basketball player's shoes and the police give him the choice of either jail or Camp Green Lake. Stanley chose camp Green lake and there he went. The one who controls camp Green Lake is Mr Sir. There, Stanley makes friends like Zero, X-Ray, etc. From there, the adventures begin. I recomended the book because since I began to read it, I could not stop reading. My favorite character is Stanley because he is similar to me.

I recommend this book for kids, full of adventure , mystery and fun. My favorite part of the book was, the story about Kate Barlow, because she is a very important part in the book. The flashbacks may be confusing, but in my opinion it was the best detail of the book. I give this book 10/10!

Holes starts with Stanley Yelnats, a boy with bad luck, who got accused of stealing some shoes and got sent to CAMP GREEN LAKE.

I think it's a good book BUT it doesn't seem that there are many problems it's more about digging holes and only at the end of the story something interesting happens (but that's my opinion)

I give the book 8/10 because I didn't like it very much, but it's a great book and I recommended it to those that like mystery.

My favortite character is Zero because he is kinda weird and because he is quiet.
