The fifth amendment says that if a person is suspected of a capital crime, then that person must have a Grand Jury present unless the case arose in the land or naval forces or in active duty in a time or war. The amendment also states that a person cannot be tried for the same crime twice and that he should not be compelled to be a witness to his own crime. Lastly it says that any private property will not be given to the public without adequate compensation.
