Before i went to school in 2006 Tomsk was small, warm and comfortable. I still remember these small store near house, where we bought hot bread every morning. Now Tomsk is a modern town, with many cafes, trendy stores, illuminations under the roads which turned on every evening. 
Also, and i guess one of the most important changes its new neigborhoods which situated on the other side of river Tom.
Moreover at school i learned skiing in Michailovskaya grove, today there placed new park with kids area, routes among the forest and benches

Firstly, the architecture, earlier the city was built up with typical microdistricts of multi-storey buildings, now there are a lot of original beautiful buildings, the city has stunning views, especially from the Irtysh River. A new embankment has been built, several new bridges, sports arenas. Secondly, the behavior and appearance of people have changed, as I remember from childhood, people wore typical clothes, now everyone is different, and I think they are liberated and relaxed. The third notable change is the number of cars. Previously, there were very few cars, now their number has increased significantly, during peak hours there are constant traffic jams. Fourth, before our city was called a garden city, there was a lot of greenery, there were flower beds on the roads between the lanes, there were more squares in the center, now the whole center is built up, it's very sad. Today there are living more than 1 million people.
    First time I have visited Krasnoyarsk in August of 2002. It seemed me very green and overwhelming city. Before that time I had lived in Novosibirsk. Krasnoyarsk was more better than Novosibirsk for my opinion. There are a lot of trees, fountains and different historical sightseeings. Today, there are very gorgeous fun park "Bobrovy log" and ecological place "Krasnoyarsk's stolby". A lot of citizens and  visitors to visit these places during all year. 
To be honest, Krasnoyarsk has one serious problem, it's pollution of air due to very big amount different factories and private houses. These objects use coal for heating and working.
