Most of the war was fought in Asia and Europe so the USA didn't have to worry about their people as much as in France or Poland. Giving the states peace of mind that they weren't being bombed day in and day out. They didn't have to worry about being invaded like other countries in Asia and Europe because they were protected by the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Also being surrounded by weaker countries above and below that are peaceful to.
