Adetokunbo was born in Athens, the son of Nigerian immigrants who had no legal status in Greece. Giannis and three of his four brothers were considered stateless because the country did not grant birthright citizenship. In addition to financial difficulties, the family faced xenophobia and fear of deportation. To supplement their income, Antetokounmpo occasionally sold items, including sunglasses and watches, on the streets of Athens.

Η Αλίκη Σταματίνα Βουγιουκλάκη (20 Ιουλίου 1934 - 23 Ιουλίου 1996) ήταν Ελληνίδα ηθοποιός του κινηματογράφου και του θεάτρου, τραγουδίστρια και θεατρική επιχειρηματίας. Σπούδασε στη Δραματική Σχολή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου.

Η Αλίκη Βουγιουκλάκη έκανε το θεατρικό της ντεμπούτο το 1953 ενώ ήταν δευτεροετής μαθήτρια της Δραματικής του Εθνικού, ενώ τον επόμενο χρόνο πραγματοποίησε το κινηματογραφικό της ντεμπούτο. Πρωταγωνίστησε σε 42 κινηματογραφικές ταινίες, μεταξύ των οποίων και ορισμένες διεθνείς παραγωγές, οι περισσότερες των οποίων έγιναν τεράστιες εισπρακτικές επιτυχίες, καταφέρνοντας να εκτινάξουν την καριέρα της στα ύψη και να της αποδοθεί ο χαρακτηρισμός της «εθνικής σταρ» της Ελλάδας, ο οποίος την ακολουθεί έως σήμερα.
