There are many positives towards Globalization. One thing that really stuck out to me was decreasing the cost of manufacturing. Decreasing the cost of manufacturing is a good affect to globalization because, it's cheaper cost for good quality items and it reduces the amount of people not being able to "afford" the item. In some cases, this may contribute to improved health by enabling a more varied and healthier diet; in others. (education.nationalgeographic.org) This message is trying to state that Globalization improves health in many people in a positive way. Another reason that Globalization is a good thing is, reduction in poverty. Reduction in poverty means to improves the overall quality of health of every person living on the planet. Globalization allows many different positive affects but these two stuck out to me the most.

One good thing about Globalization is

Access to resources. The reason why Access to resources is important to Globalization is because One of the primary reasons nations trade is to gain access to resources they otherwise wouldn’t have. Without this flow of resources across borders, many modern luxuries would be impossible to manufacture or produce. imf.org says,"There is substantial evidence, from countries of different sizes and different regions, that as countries "globalize" their citizens benefit, in the form of access to a wider variety of goods and services, lower prices, more and better-paying jobs, improved health, and higher overall living standards."

imf.org show us data how The increased transfer of knowledge and technology to emerging market economies has partly offset the effects of the recent slowdown in innovation at the technology frontier and helped drive income convergence for many emerging economies. In contrast, advanced economies have been more affected by the technology slowdown at the frontier.

Globalization is a bad thing due to job displacement. For example, according to the website "motionpoint.com" it states "When industrialized countries outsource labor, it causes a shortage of jobs domestically...Laborers whose skills are no longer in demand experience higher unemployment, and struggle to adapt to the changing labor market." (motionpoint.com). This quote presents on how if more and more people become unemployed, people will struggle to adjust to being unemployed. This would also affect people without a job to struggle to find another, leading to people becoming broke which could also lead to homelessness. If people start becoming homeless and there are still more unemployed people, this would lead to a huge problem affecting the world to have to struggle with having people on the streets.

Globalization is bad. One of the cons is environmental control, it can cause pollution in this world. Making the air we breathe bad for our health.“Deforestation and loss of biodiversity caused by economic specialization and infrastructure development,” (Harvard business school). Due to this the loss of deforestation would be bad for the environment and for us. What about the animals? They’re losing their homes because of us destroying their homes. Another fact is that trees make the air more clean. Variety of life itself lives on biodiversity. Getting rid of forest and coral reefs could affect living things in general. We need forest in our ecosystem so animals and every other living thing could live. Another con about Globalization is the cause of job displacement. Due to the cause of job displacement, Globalization means losing more jobs in more “higher countries” and less production. Which would be bad for us because we need jobs to live on our own and we live off of production. In February of 2024 about 6.458 Americans were jobless. But due to the cause of job displacement more and more people are going to go jobless because of production being made more on the other side of the world.

Globalization is bad because of what it does to our world and our people. Globalization is one of the main causes of gun violence across the world. Jamaica is the best example of this. Because of globalization, the Jamaican people gained access to firearms and are now the leader in gun violence in the world. The homicide rate in Jamaica is up 60% out of the 100,00 inhabitants in 2023. "Across the board 250,000 people a year are put in hospitals from gun violence, putting an ample amount of stress on our healthcare systems," says the National Library of Medicine Now the leading cause of childhood deaths are due to gun violence. Lastly, school shootings are happening more and more frequently. Worldwide civilians own 650 million firearms altogether. Thats 70% of the 875 million known guns total.

Globalization has a negative impact on society that could lead to unsatisfactory results on humanity. To begin, globalization will negatively affect cultures and traditions. With enough globalization there will be reduced culture diversity which will lead to only one unified culture that is followed by everbody. This will result in the loss of certain recipes, dances, music, or clothing styles. Another thing that makes globalization a concercn is how it affects the environment as with the amount of transport that needs to happen pollution will start increasing rapidly. With more fuel produced to get products through nations more pollution is produced.

Globalization is good because it increases global competitions, while lowering prices. In an article it says, "...increases global competition, which drives prices down and creates a larger variety of choices for consumers. Lowered costs help people in both developing and already-developed countries live better on less money.” (velocityglobal.com). With the help of globalization, competition can lower prices, so consumers will be able to choose a large variety of products, while not spending much.

Globalization is good because a lot of consumers benefit from this. According to, "education.nationalgeographic.org" globalization decreases the cost of manufacturing. This basically means that companies can offer goods at a lower price to many consumers. . For more than 1,500 years, Europeans traded glass and manufactured goods for Chinese silk and spices, contributing to a global economy in which both Europe and Asia became accustomed to goods from far away. This contributes to why and how globalization decreases the cost of manufacturing.

One bad thing about globalization is losing jobs, the loss of jobs can affect families all around the world. According to "Motionpoint.com" it states "When industrialized countries outsource labor, it causes a shortage of jobs domestically. Laborers whose skills are no longer in demand experience higher unemployment, and struggle to adapt to the changing labor market. For example, the U.S. trade deficit with China eliminated 3.7 million jobs between 2001 and 2018, and more than 75% of those losses were in manufacturing" (Motionpoint.com). This quote is basically explaining that it will be hard for people to be unemployed. Although with no jobs it can cuase people to struggle to provide for their famlies, become homeless, struggle to find money and food, the more homless people their is the more it could affect human population.

While globalization brings many advantages—including lower prices and higher standards of living to some—it also has drawbacks, including wealth concentration and cultural homogeneity but to me personally I think good because lots of things can benefit from this globalization decreases the cost of manufacturing.
