They meet a famous woman named Alice Paul and she said Chloe was in Tennessee! Violet, Myrtle, Miss Dexter, and Mr.Martin are all heading to Nashville on a train. The train conductor forces Myrtle to go to the Jim Crow Car on the train. So she does and has a hard time opening all of the doors. But eventually, she gets there and meets an old lady named Miss. Burns. While they are riding they talk about women's rights and that if women can vote that doesn't mean colored women can vote.

She thought about how she could be a spy and tell the Suffs what they were doing. She then went to look for Mr. Martin and Mrytle and she found them very dirty looking like hoboes in the train yard. Mr. Martin and Chloe had a heated discussion at first but then you can tell tey are glad to see each other. It is unequal and unfair that men and women cannot eat in the same restaurant, especially given that there isn't a restaurant for just women. She also realizes that the woman who pinned a red rose on her at the train station was an Anti, and she was staying in an Anti room in the hotel. She finds out that she can eat sandwiches if she goes to the anti's meeting. As she listens to them speak, she learns how they are getting men to change their minds about voting on The Susan Anthony B. Amendment. Violet overheard some people talking and they said "Mayhew" and she got really excited to finally see Chloe! Chloe and Violet finally see each other and Violet tells Chloe she had run away from home to find her. Rowe that women use a different entrance at the side of the building. Back at Tulane Violet and Myrtle are planning for Violet to go to the Hermitage and spy on the Antis meetings. So Violet goes into the room that the lady in the last chapter gave to her. When she gets to the room and meets a lady named MISS.E who is one of the ladies who makes men do stuff for her and she said women are to queen of the house. And then Violet said to her but you are not even married. Then she starts crying and crying and said how would you like it if you were my age and not even married 😭 Violet kept on saying sorry.
