The school that one goes to can really affect someone. “School influences adolescent risk behaviors in many aspects” (Excerpt From: “Mental, Emotional & Social Health (part 1).” v1.0. iBooks). If they go to a really nice, highly awarded school, they are most likely going to have a better life compared to someone who when to a rundown, low quality school.

Nowadays media has a massive affect on our health and lives. Let's use the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge as an example. Word spread quickly about people dumping buckets of ice on their heads for donations to the ALS foundation. It soon appeared on social media where it stared to trend. “when individuals see a behavior portrayed in a positive way, they have a tendency to imitate and adopt it” (Excerpt From: “Mental, Emotional & Social Health (part 1).” v1.0. iBooks). After a while, there were so many people who did the challenge and donated that a huge quantity of money was raised. If social media wasn't there to spread the word, then the ALS foundation might not have gotten as much donation help as it did. 

Technology also ties into affecting one's personal health practices. The implementation of technology has greatly affected the medical field and medical research. Without the use of technology and x rays, the doctors that helped me wouldn't have been able to effectively prescribe and treat my injury. Luckily the x rays showed that I fractured my toe, but it was't that bad.
