The articles of confederation were a failure because they did not establish a strong federal government. Most of the power was in hands of states rather then the federal government. The federal government did not have the power to collect taxes which made paying people hard.

The articles of Confederation ended up being a big failure because the colonies were too rapped up in trying to find a new government that is different than the British that they didn't really spend enough time thinking about the effects of this. By having states control the government as a whole this can cause conflict and corruption since every state had their own opinion and morals for what they want in a government or for what laws they decide to have.

To a great extent was the Articles of Confederation a failure. They failed to establish a great starting point for the country. Many founding fathers also were disappointed in the creation of the Articles of Confederation. Founding Fathers like Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Hamilton were vocal in the changing of the Articles. They failed to really unite the nation and divided them instead. They also failed to stop Shays Rebellion and foreign countries saw that they were very weak.

The Articles of Confederation ended up to be a failure for many different reasons but most prominently was the fact that they could not establish a centralized federal government. Another part of this problem was the fact that many of the founding fathers were beginning to speak out against the Articles of Confederation because they didn't like they way that they were written. If the country didn't have their leaders agreeing on important things like this, how would they be able to effectively run the country

Ultimately, the Articles of Confederation failed because they were crafted to keep the national government as weak as possible: There was no power to enforce laws. No judicial branch or national courts. Amendments needed to have a unanimous vote. Congress did not have the power to tax. Congress did not have the power to regulate foreign and interstate commerce.

The Articles of Confederation were a colossal failure since they it allowed for a weak central government. The Articles of Confederation would declare all states independent from each other, it only have each state on vote, it didn't have to give taxes to the national government, also getting 13 people to agree on laws also didn't work out too well; since it was 13/13 of states that would have to agree in order to allow for change, and 9/13 to allow for action. Shay's Rebellion is a good example that showed the extreme weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation, with the new Constitution rebellions such as the Whiskey Rebellion were put down much faster.

The Articles of Confederation wound up to be a disappointment for various reasons however most unmistakably was the way that they couldn't build up an incorporated government. In the event that the nation didn't have their chiefs conceding to significant things like this, how might they have the option to adequately run the nation. Another contributor to this issue was the way that a large number of the establishing fathers were starting to take a stand in opposition to the Articles of Confederation since they didn't care for they way that they were composed.
