After two years since she came to Scotland at age 15, she get engaged with Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1816 who is her father's student. One specific thing is she does not know her mother's face since she is birthed and her mother was Mary Wollstonecraft. Also, she has a older half-sister Fanny Imlay and her stepmother is Mary Jane Clairmont who did not let her goes to school.
