Hi, my name is Laura Leal, I am from Brazil and live in the United States 1 year. I am student at Marlborough high and live in Marlborough too! I work at the Mc'Donalds in Maynard every day. I have a mini poodle Torvi, she's 4 months.
Here I live just my sister and my brother-in-law. My favorite hobby's cook, swim, play volleyball and hang out for another states, or in my city same.

My favorite movie it's Coraline, below have my conclusion.

Coraline is stuborn, a little be sad, criative, and smart, like a carioca.

Characters: Coraline, Father, Mother, Cat, Friend, Friend's aunts, neighbor,

evil stepmother and stepfather.

Setting: Many places, but the most important it's at home, during the day, sometimes night.

Plot: She will have another family, home, similar that she has, but all bad.

Beginning: She explores her house, and discovers a stranger door.

Conflict: She finds a key, open the door, enter, cross the other side, there she founds a bad family, looking exactly like her mother and father with buttons over their eyes.

Climax: She gets scared, try to escape, but she can't. When she gets it, her bad mom go look for her.

Resolution/end: She needs put the key away, for never more the door open again, with a lot of effort she gets it, and finally story finish.

I don´t think that children have equal opportunities, education, good school... Some places it´s bad, with violence, drogs, no money ¨very poor¨. Depends in what city, if you´re rich or poor also, the government didn´t give the money to the City can buy somenthing. And in another countries there´s a lot macismo and girls can´t study.

I particularly don´t like write but I´m very good writing, I almost never mistake the grammar.
About write in English I like too because it´s to try English. But in Portuguese so-so because is my language and I already know.
I don´t like create any stories because it´s boring, and I´m not a create person.
Finally I´m so happy for starting a original story in English. However I will learn a lot.

Currently I haven't seen news in the newspaper or TV, only on the phone sometimes. I know we are in a war between Israel and Palestine. It's a horrible and challenging thing to live there, I don't think any country there is right, terrorists are fighting over something that isn't theirs and Israel is messing with something that was quiet. It's bad to give an opinion about war, it's something delicate and often leads to discussion.

If I could bring back an extinct animal it would be a blue macaw. The habitat can be in the forest, in the mountains, in the woods, basically anywhere there are trees. There would be no controversy because this animal does no harm to society and helps by protecting plants, spreading seeds and reproducing trees. Due to hunting, illegal trade and the degradation of its natural habitat due to deforestation, it has no longer existed since 1987.

I like reading books, but I'm not used to it because it takes a lot of time and dedication to understand. For me, books are like series, which you watch little by little and become interested in with each page. My favorite genre is spiritual and real life, a little suspense too. I bought a new book about mental health and I think that is really good to understand more the people. Books help you learn to read faster, learn new words and can help with writing. In addition, if you need to study for college or for your job, books are the next best option.

I generally use sympathy every day. Examples of friendliness that I use are greeting people I don't know who are with my friends. I ask permission from the people in front of me when I need to pass. At home I am committed to receiving visitors and serving them. On the street or in public places, I help anyone who asks me for help finding a place or asks me the time. To conclude, I never ignore anyone who comes to me and I always try to treat them in the most polite and subtle way possible.

I had a nightmare about the shadows in the movie 'The Princess and the Frog'. The evil shadows pulled me under the bed by my feet when I was sleeping, I couldn't breathe. I tried to warn my mother, but my voice wouldn't come out. When I finally managed to scream and get out from under the bed, I ran to my mother. All of this happened in the dream.

My April break was normal and busy, but I'm used to it. On the first day I slept a lot, we went to Memorial Beach here in Marlborough, we saw a film called Interstellar which was almost 3 hours long. On Tuesday I watched a series on Netflix called ‘Good Girls’. I watch this in English to practices the pronunciation and listening comprehension. Following day nothing anormal, I just worked. Thursday I received the email from school saying that I was recgnonize like a good student, I got very happy. Finally, on Friday the day appeared very slowly.

My week was sad, distressing and revolting. My family and I watched news about RS in BR. A flood that never goes away and is leaving people dead and houses under water. We sent money to Ong to help the homeless. Every day of the week was summed up in this. The water entered my old house through the kitchen and then passed away... I'm going to study a lot this summer. Study to pass my driving license, theoretical test and practical test. I intend to buy my car.
