It causes stress. 
It means less exercise. 
It leaves less time for family.

Were you working on it late at night, worried that you won’t finish it? Were you stressed? Homework causes lots of unnecessary stress. A study found that 56% of the students from 10 high-performing high schools considered homework a primary source of stress. Less then 1% of students said homework wasn’t a source of stress.

And that’s just one reason. Do you want take away time spent on such an important thing? According to a study only 13% of children are getting enough exercise. 13% is not enough. It should be 100%. Why it isn’t 100%? Homework. 

That’s not the only thing homework is taking away. Only one can stay. Which one is more important? Family time. Family time gives you increased happiness, helps you cope with stress, and improves psychological well-being. Would you rather students spend hours on homework, (which causes more stress and less exercise) or spend time with their family? Kids use homework as an excuse to not spend time with their family.
