Pronounced "ra-ku-ga-ki", 落書き is the Japanese word for graffiti. What makes this word interesting however, is that it shares it's definition with the words "scrawl" and "scribble". This is a reflection of how Japan has traditionally seen graffiti as a form of vandalism rather then art.

落書きは日本では犯罪ですが徐々に実際の芸術形態と見なされています。
Graffiti is considered a crime in Japan, however is slowly becoming accepted as an art form.

Pronounced "You-kii-yo-ay", 浮世絵 was a form of wooden block printing popularised during the Edo period of Japan. Depicting the changing hedonistic lifestyles of many Japanese at the time, 浮世絵 can be considered one of Japan's first records of "street art" as though the canvas was not the walls or streets of Japan, the 浮世絵 involved depicting current political and social issues of the time.

芸術家 は浮世絵を使って、より豊かなクラスの生活を見せます。
Artists would use ukiyo-e to show the lives of the richer classes.
