1. Jane depicts Blanche with more detail and romantic elements than her self. We feel as if she does this because she is comparing herself to Blanche and viewing herself as more bland and wishing to be more like Ingram.
2. Mr. Rochester treats Jane with some conflicting behavior. He wants to relay some kindness and affection toward her but cannot seem to relinquish his hierarchy and pride, causing some inconsistent behaviors.

1. Jane draws Blanch in an exaggerated way to exemplify her beauty. It shows a direct contrast between herself and the way she views other females in such a beautiful and romantic way.
2. Mr. Rochesester's behavior towards Jane varies based on his emotional state. This affects his characterization because his emotions vary a lot and it makes him a confusing character.

7. The way she creates herself versus the way she creates Ingram reflects the way she has grown up and been treated as lesser for being of a lower social class. It also shows her jealousy of Ingram because Jane thinks that Rochester will marry her and it is because Ingram is of higher status.

8. It continues showing that Rochester is not consistent in the way he acts and makes him more mysterious because he is a hard character to read. It makes the reader question his motives and why he acts differently at different times.
