The main message of this source is to portray Stalin as a superhero, one who possess special powers.
This is evident in the source as Stalin is seen wearing Superman's outfit with a cape standing amidst the skies with his bulging muscles.
This suggest that Stalin wants to be associated with a superhero, someone who is powerful and strong for the Soviets to look up to.
This is supported from my contextual knowledge as Stalin used political cartoons and posters to brainwash people into believing that he was the rightful successor and leader of the Soviet Union. One such method was portraying himself as a superhero to the Russians as seen in this picture.

The main message of the poster is Stalin wanted people to look-up to him as a omnipotent being. This can be seen from Stalin portrayed bigger than others and has a shining star behind him making him look like an angel. This gives people the impression that Stalin is a person everyone respects and someone they look-up to. Thus Stalin is shown to be a respected person. From contextual knowledge, I know that Stalin has made many propaganda posters showing that he is a good, kind and respected person to cover up the misdeeds he has done. Therefore, Stalin wanted to make people respect and look up to him through propaganda so as to make everyone think he is good rather than a evil/cruel person who kills many people.

Propaganda of Stalin’s doctored photograph(edited photo)
The main message of the photograph is that Stalin had a strong sense of superiority. This can be seen from the two photographs, where initially Nikolai Yezhov, one of stalins political enemy was beside him, however the photograph was doctored where Yezhov was erased away, the photo has then successfully made Stalin stands out and became the focus of the photo. This suggests that Stalin is more influential and powerful compared to his political enemies. From my contextual knowledge, those who seemed as a threat to stalins rule were edited out of these photos in measure to boost stalins authority and status, making Stalin look more like a reputable leader.

This can be seen from lenin’s figure portrayed at the back of stalin both stalin and lenin is pointing to the same direction and the soviet unions looking at the same direction that they are pointing up .This shows that stalin is leading the soviet union towards the direction lenin would’ve led the soviets to,they drew this so tht russians will think stalin is leading them the correct way as lenin is a well respected figure and stalin is following lenin.from contectual knowledge, i know that Lenin did not want stalin to become the leader so stalin came up with this poster to cover over the fact

This source shows me that Stalin was posted as a fatherly figure, caring for the children, this also shows that he is well-respected as he is being thanked by the children. From contextual knowledge, I know that Stalin used propaganda to brainwash his people, claiming himself as a Father to his people. Therefore the message of the source is that Stalin is a caring Father.
