There are thousands of animals endangered in the world. It’s important to know the reason to help them.

SNOW LEOPARDS

They live in the high mountains of Asia. There are only about 4000 today. They are endangered because of loss of habitat. Humans are establishing farms so it’s more difficult for snow leopards to find food. This animal is hunted for its fur or for medicines.

BLUE WHALES

They live in the ocean. There are among 10.000 and 25.000 today. They are endangered because of loss of habitat. There is pollution in the oceans. Plastic, chemicals and noise pollution from the boats hurt blue whales.

ORANGUTANS

They live in the rainforest of Asia. There are about 115.000 of them today. They are endangered because of loss of habitat. Poaching is a problem because people want orangutans’ babies for pets. There are now big reserves on the islands. They are protected so the number of orangutans is getting bigger.
