It is a so classical but effective way of learning new vocabulary. Post the vocabulary around the room and have students walk around and write original sentences using the word on sticky notes. Get involved and help your students use the language correctly. While I was preparing for the exams, my books lived full of post-its. And I was pasting the posts in the areas I could see. Since I was constantly seeing these words, after a while I was learning the words without any effort.

A scavenger hunt is an interactive vocabulary activity that involves participants actively searching for specific items or clues within a designated area or environment. Participants are provided with a list of items, words, or clues that they must locate or identify, and they embark on a thrilling quest to find those items or solve the given challenges. Scavenger hunts can be designed around various themes, such as nature, history, or specific subjects.

Taboo Words is a vocabulary game where players describe a word without using related "taboo" words. Teams take turns as one player gives clues while teammates guess within a time limit. It fosters creativity, effective communication, vocabulary expansion, and strategic thinking in a lively, competitive setting. I think that vocabulary teaching is more memorable with games. At the same time, it is possible to play and learn with pleasure. I never forget the new words I learned in taboo.
