Franklin puts the blame on Braddock for the loss.

The event in Boston helped to unite the colonies against Britain. What started as a minor fight became a turning point in the beginnings of the American Revolution. They wrote resolutions that would benefit the colonists. They ordered these resolutions be made. There are 14 resolutions suggested in this document. The colonists also declare loyalty in this document.

The purpose of this document was to make the British change their tax stamp act through resolutions that would make the colonists' life easier. The British put unfair taxes on multiple goods after the French and Indians war which only made the struggling colonist’s lives even harder. So they demanded there be put resolutions on the stamp act which the British of course didn't like. The Declaration of Right was meant to state that the colonists had the same rights as the British subjects living in Britain, and the the colonial assemblies were the only ones who had the right to tax the colonies, and that they had the right of trial by jury.

The Declaration of Rights and Grievances was a demonstration for the colonist because the colonist felt like they were being wronged with the taxes being imposed on them by the British. The colonists thought that the only way they would have taxes imposed on them would be unless it was under their government. This declaration was made to state that the colonists deserved the same rights as their British counterparts and that their own government were the only ones that should be allowed to impose taxes because they had been receiving many unfair taxes from the British parliament.

The stamp act was made to stop smuggling of sugar and other things it made the colonists very made. They made them get stamps on everything it was crazy. People started to protest and riot because they were upset with how some of the laws impacted them. They would try to stop things from being unloaded by waiting at the docks and rioting. Also Britain made them account for everything like cargo lists and what they were carrying on the ship.

The Resolutions on the Stamp Act changed the relations between Britian and the North American colonies with the issues with the british from their tax stamp act but it got to the point that the colonies 10 years later rose in armed rebellion against the british.

The government passed this act to recover the expenses caused from the Seven Year War. The Stamp Act placed taxes on newspapers, pamphlets, playing cards, diplomas, and legal documents. The colonists didn't like being taxed and they started riots and protested, forming a group called the Sons of Liberty. They would try to stop stamped papers from being unloaded off of British ships. The stamp act was later removed by the government because the colonists were rioting and did not agree. 

This document illustrates change between the Britain and North American colonies because after the seven years war a new act was passed placing a tax on documents. Rioting and protests began which influenced the government to change the stamp act.

Britain's parliament seeks to establish this law, allowing for peoples home to be searched whenever, and by a great deal of people. He argues this is an infiltration of the colonists privacy and property, which should be protected by the government. He uses the English Common Laws, and John Locke's enlightenment and political ideals of natural rights.


This demonstrates change in the relations between Britain and the North American colonies by showing how Britain started to take away some of the most basic laws and rights to colonists, which infuriated them largely. In the document, James Otis argues against the British parliament wanting to allow search warrants. This shows how American patriots had started to demand their rights in multiple ways, blaming Britain for taking them away.

Dickinson sees the people of the Northern American Colonies being taken advantage of by Great Britain. In the ways as the Stamp Act, which made all printed papers carry stamps, which charged the colonists money, and Great Britain gained a revenue. Britain did this because of the immense money need after the French and Indian War.  John Dickinson wrote this article to try and make the North Colony members of the slavery that Britain was putting them under. 

This document illustrates the change in relations between Britain and the North American colonies in ways such as the Stamp Act, which forced the North American colonies to pay taxes for every paper printed. Britain did this only to gain revenue after the harsh warfare of the French and Indian war. All the new taxes and land dealings were only benefiting the rich, which were the colonial officials but not the regulators at all. They wanted a system that will help benefit everyone.  

The document illustrates change between Britain and the North American colonies because it is about the regulators standing up against the parliament. Britain is enforcing acts upon colonists causing them to become very upset, which forms hatred towards parliament. This is changing the colonists' respect and views on Britain, which will soon lead to the rise against Britain.

The Declaratory Act was placed by the British Parliament in 1766 after the failure of the Stamp Act. The Declaratory Act was the only way to get the repeal of the Stamp Act through. The Declaratory Act expresses that British Parliament's taxing authority was the same in America and Great Britain. Parliament put its complete authority to make laws binding on the American colonies “in all cases whatsoever”. This shows how Britain was trying to gain power and benefit from the colonies. 

This document illustrates relations between Britain and the North American colonies because we can see Britain’s insensitivity and greed by stating Parliament's authority was the same in America as in Britain.

This document illustrates change in the relations between Britain and the North American colonies because it was trying to force the  settlers in North America inhabitants of Great Britain to both fall under British tax authority. This brought together those living in North America and Great Britain by pressuring them to all follow the same laws and denying either of them independence tax-wise. This prevented rebellion and separation from the British Parliament as the  colonists were trying to create a new life. After many deaths and troubles it added onto the American Revolutionary war that resulted in 17000 deaths.
