In the book Scat, there were some really important words that stuck out to me. The first word that stuck out to me was panther because the entire story was about trying to save a baby panther by finding its mother. Another word that was really important was disapppeared. This word is important because Mrs.Starch went missing and no one could find her for weeks.

To me all of these words are important, but the word that had the most importance would be wildfire. That is because there was a wildfire at Great Vine Swamp. That is where all the conflict began too. A word that relates to the wildfire is inhaler. I chose this word because Mrs. Starch had to go back in the wildfire to get a student's inhaler and that's when Mrs. Starch went missing. My favorite word was lefty because it really describes the character Nick. He wanted to go through what his dad was going through by taping his right hand to his back. It was such an astonishing, inspiring, breathtaking, and jaw-dropping book. I would consider this book to be an adventures/mystery book. I give it a big thumbs up because I could really live in the book and Carl Hiasson made it sound so real. The book made me want to never stop reading. The most interesting thing about the book is that the things that accured in the book could really happen in real life. Scat takes place at different locations. The locations were in the woods, at school, and at home in Florida. I could relate to many of these places because I have been to Florida. THis is my first time to ever read a book so amazing like that. I dont usually read mystery/adventurous books.
