A: FINISH THESE SENTENCES using the words VOLUME, CELL MEMBRANE,  and anything else you learned in the bubble lab OR the gummy bear lab.

If the cell membrane lets water IN, then an apple will taste __juicy __________ because… when water goes in and usually it would create something to be juicy. And it would grow beacuse its soaked up so its growing. And then it pushes the wall out and makes it stronger.

If the cell membrane lets water OUT, then an apple will taste __________dry__ because… when the water is getting sucked out means its losing water so its not going to grow. To add to that when it loses water the cell wall of the apple doesn't grow and gets weaker and as it gets weaker the cell wall stops growing and actually starts getting more dry.

A: FINISH THESE SENTENCES using the words VACUOLE, TURGOR PRESSURE,  and anything else you learned in the french fry lab OR levels 5-8.

If the vacuole expands, then an apple will taste ________cripy and strong ____ because…  just like the fries when it went into the fresh water and the turgor pressure makes it go out and expand beacuse the pressure in the inside pushes it out. Then just like the fries when the cell wall of the apple expands it creates a strong  and crispy cell wall beacuse there's alot of water in there so it expands beacuse there's not enough space for all that water.

If the vacuole shrinks , then an apple will taste __mushy and dry__________ because… the vacuole does not have enough water so it shrinked just like potato going into fresh water. The fries shrink beacuse the water is getting sucked out and it has nothing to hold it and then it shrinks. and just like the vacuole it has a weak turgor pressure and it will shrink beacuse it doesn't have any water too keep the vacuole big.

If the lamella is sticky, then an apple will taste _____juciy and crisp _______ because… when the the lamella is sticky it has many layers so it wont just break and you have too take a good bite to take it out and when the bite into the cell wall the cell breaks and it creates juice to come out.beacuse from the turgor pressure the vacuole breaks and it releases a lot of juice And like what i just did when i put my hands together as in a sticky basically amella it didn't get thru and that's beacuse all that stickiness is keeping it together.

If the lamella is not sticky , then an apple will taste _______dry and mushy _____ because… when your teeth go into the water it separates beacuse there's no strong like gorilla glue to hold it together and your not getting the juice inside beacuse there is no juice and the turgar is just is not doing anything considering the and the lamella isn't sticky so its very dry. your teeth aren't popping the lamello so you can get the juice. and just like when i put my fist together and it wasn't like sticky it broke down and went thru and that proves how it is mushy.
