         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Battle of Normandy took place in Normandy, France where the&nbsp;</p><p>Allied nations and German forces were attempting to occupy Western Europe.</p><p>The geography of the attack made sure that even if the Allied nations</p><p>didn't have the aspect of surprise it would still work. The Germans had <span style="font-size: 13px;">thousands miles of coast to protect. Since Normandy, France is close to a beach, this made trying to land planes very difficult for both the Allies and the Germans. (Devvin)</span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This battle is known for being one of the most critical spread and focus strategies in history. <span style="font-size: 13px;">The Allies focused on using surprise attacks and</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> used misinformation techniques that were meant to trick the Germans. </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">The Germans had spies working with the Allies and always knew the latest "scoop" of what the Allies were planning.
