My alternate ending

In my alternate ending, Fortunato realizes what Montressor wants to do, and tricks him into drinking more. Then, he does the exact same thing that Montressor had planned for him. However, he plays it as a joke. This makes Montressor realize that what he was about to do is horrible, and they both make it back together.

The Judge, stares at the old man Montresor, with a very regretful gaze towards him and the jury. It has been 25 years, and just recently authorities uncovered the bones of Fortunato after some workers reported the founding of his body. "Any words before I read the sentence?" - "I let my pride get the best of me, and I am shameful of what I did, every man must pay their dues." - and so he was sentenced to spend his last years in prison after what he did.

Fortunato´s escape

My alternative ending will be that Fortunato, though imprisoned by Montresor, manages to escape his confines. He reveals Montresor's treachery to the authorities and seeks revenge. In a dramatic twist, Fortunato exposes Montresor's dark intentions, turning the tables on his would-be murderer.

My alternative ending; Amontillado escapes from the vaults and confronts Fortunato, taking him to prison.

Amontilado created a wine that represents the second change he had in his life.

Wine gave Fortunato a supernatural strength that allows him to escape from the chain. Then, he pushes the stones and he runs away, just behind Montresor, they had a fight and both died.

My alternative ending is that they actually find basks of the amontillado alcohol.
