In 1940 Hitler defeated France, causing him to assume that Britain wouldn't fight and reach peace with Germany. But he underestimated the strength of Britain as trying to invade Britain was to go up against one of the best naval and technologically advanced air forces at the time. This battle began when Germany decided to send their air force (Luftwaffe) to attack Britain's RAF (British airforce) and naval bases to start taking control of Britain's two biggest assets. The German attacks started in September 1940 when the first Luftwaffe assault was reported. The Germans had a greater air force and started bombing naval and air force bases. but Britain fought back strategically targeting bombers attacking their important bases. In the end, Germany lost the battle as Britain was able to stop them from destroying their most important bases, Britain was still in the war but was not at full power, Hitler attempted invasion of Britain was unsuccessful, and this marked the start of the end of the nazi regime.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was an attack sent from the Japanese with the leader Yamamoto Isoroku having the deciding factor after America had to side with Japan's enemies (China) for support in the war. So on December 7th, 1941 Japan Bombed the Hawaiian naval base "Pear Harbor", it was less of a battle but was integral to the war as it marked the inclusion of America in WWII.

Invasion of Poland

The Invasion of Poland was ordered by Hitler and strategized by General Franz Halder. The main reason for the German invasion was to gain land, but Germany wanted to frame Poland to make them look like the aggressors and allow the Germans to invade with little consequences. A Radio station attack was staged called Gleiwitz on August 31st, 1939. On September 1st, 1939, the day after Gleiwitz, Hitler began justifying attacks on Poland. By the end of the day, Germany was already crossing Polish borders. The battles from Germany were dirtier, attacking the Polish by surprising them with fast-moving tanks at the battles, a strategy proven lethal against the Poles. This was called Blitzkrieg. The Germans were so desperate they started using Methanphetemene which allowed the soldiers to fight tirelessly, In the end, the strategy, bigger military, and performance-enhancing drugs were too much for the Polish military to combat and they were overrun in the end. this marked the start of World War II.

The Battle of Okinawa+The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

On April 1st, 1945, America began the invasion of the smaller islands separated from mainland Japan, Okinawa. The reason for taking these islands was to gain airbases to advance air power from America and other allies. As the Americans landed, they received little resistance, but as they got deeper into Japan, the Japanese started defending with their lives (kamikazes were very common in this battle). The battle was one of the bloodiest, with more than 260,000 Japanese people killed (only 110,000 being soldiers), as the American Marines only sustained 49,000 casualties. The battle ended on June 22nd, 1945, shortly after Germany surrendered on May 7th, 1945, and as America gained Okinawa. The Japanese still hadnt given up, this was shown to be a mistake as America had just invented the first nuclear bomb. America started by bombing Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945 due to it (more than likely not) being a military hub for Japan . More than 69,000 deaths occurred most were civilians. The second bomb was dropped on August 9th, 1945, where there were more than 39,000 deaths, all to push the war to a close by killing civilians. The bombings were proven effective as Japan surrendered on September 2nd, 1945. Marking the end of the bloodiest war in history.
