My group focused on the effectiveness of Flipgrid and other asynchronous tools for teaching ELLs. However, we did test the effectiveness of reciting information orally vs writing it down. Based on our research and class surveys we discovered that it is beneficial for students to recite information orally to increase retention rates. Moreover, it also helps ELLs practice their target language skills. Our research also gave us a look into what a paperless classroom would look like which also relates to one of my initial questions.
