In the story The Boy in The Stripped Pajamas, takes place in Berlin Germany, 1942. One of the most important events during that time period was when Adolf Hitler was taking over in world. The main character in the story is named Bruno. His family has a big house full of little rooms that Bruno loves to find, but soon enough, they have to move. They move to a very small house that only has a few rooms. On the first day they have arrived, Bruno new right away that he wasn't going to like the place. He noticed that soldiers were standing in front of his house, he noticed a lot of things are different here in the new house hold and he knows that he has to find out. Another character in the story The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is Gretel, she is Bruno's older sister. She is spunky, sassy, and to Bruno, a hopeless case. She is important in the story because she is the one who had to explain why they had to move to this new house. You can really tell that she is going to be a very important asset to the story.

In the book The Boy in The Striped Pajama's, talks about a boy named Bruno who is 9 years old. Him and his family has just moved to a new house and he doesn't really like it there. He has been begging and begging his family to move back to Berlin, Germany, where their big house stood with millions of rooms inside that Bruno has yet to discover, but they are always say no, this is their new home. Bruno notices a lot of strange things at the new house, he saw tents in the distance with people inside, soldiers running in and out of his house, and far out he could see a bunch of people that were different ages wearing striped (grey and white) pajamas with a striped (grey and white) cap. One day he wanted to confront his father about how he was he feeling about the whole situation and what he has been seeing around the house. Him and his father got into a really big argument and Bruno was sent to his room. Soon enough he couldn't handle it anymore, so he ended up t telling the maid how he truly felt. When Bruno said that he didn't like that house and he thought his father was being stupid for what he did by moving, the maid, Maria, got upset with him. In her past, Bruno's father really helped her family. He paid the bills when her mother was in the hospital, how he gave her the very first job she ever had, and how he took care of her. They talked until Bruno calmed down and Bruno realized that Maria was like any other person he ever met, with feelings. When Gretel was mistreating Maria about not preparing her bath, Bruno stood up for her, which shocked all three of them.

So far, the main character's conflict in the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is not having anybody to play with. The place that they just moved to, he calls "Out With," and they moved there from Berlin for his father' job relocation. I believe that this is actually the beginning of Auschwitz, because he works for somebody high up in that area of government, and this is not going to be good for his family once they find out what really is happening to them.

So far, at this point in the book Bruno and his family have moved into their new house. The new house is very far away from Berlin. The house is way smaller than the last house being that there are only 3 floors instead of 5. The house is called "Out With" and is set on a piece of land in the middle of nowhere with a concentration camp across the street. Bruno has started to discover the camp across the street. Bruno and his sister have never seen anything like this and are confused on where they are and what this place has to do with their fathers job. Bruno goes downstairs to ask his father some questions about his job and tell him how much he dislikes the house. He keeps interrupting his father and disagreeing with him and surprisingly his father isn't getting angry at him. Although he isn't getting angry at Bruno, he gets close to getting mad and sends Bruno to his room before an argument breaks out.

The clean people seem to be laughing at the other people. Bruno shows Gretel, his older sister, and she think it is a farm. They cross that off the list of things it could be because they did not see any animals. Gretel goes back to her room ignoring the people. He goes then goes into his fathers office and tells him it was a bad idea to move and that they should go back. His father does not listen and just tries to comfort him.

Continuing the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, it begins with Bruno playing a game he made up called explorer. Bruno isn't surprised to see people in striped pajamas, but things are bizarre when he doesn't see them. Before he decides to go back home, he sees a boy. He's interested to see a boy his age because he has no idea who they are and why they are there. I believe this strikes Bruno's interest because the people in the striped pajamas seemed so peculiar and unusual, nothing he could relate to. Then he sees this boy who's the same age as him with a totally different life.

In the book Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Bruno does not like his new home and does not understand why he has to be at this terrible house. Also Bruno does not have any friends and one day for the first time he saw another boy his age. The boy was on the other side of the gate and he sat there talking. Bruno found out they are in Poland and he did not understand he thought he was in Berlin. He also did not understand why everyone was wearing striped pajamas so he asked and that is were I stopped reading.
I really like this book, and it really helped that I researched the war. But at some points I think it is a little confusing. I also think Bruno is living on a concentration camp because he sees all these people gated and the solders are looking at them. But overall the book is very interesting and a really good book.

In the book The Boy in The Stripped Pajamas starts in Berlin Germany with a family of four plus their servants living in a 5 story house on a busy street. Bruno who is the main character loves his house and is having a good time at home because he loved his school and his friends. One day he comes home from school and his mother and their maid Maria are packing up everything in the house because Bruno's father has gotten a promotion and the family has to move pretty far away from where they are currently living. The family finds a house right across the street from a concentration camp. The house that they are moving into is called the "Out - With" house and is way smaller than the house that the family is used to considering the house that they are moving into is only 3 floors including the basement. So since Bruno is so upset about his new house he decides to go downstairs and tell his father what he thinks about it. Bruno is a little disrespectful to his father and so they get into an argument. Bruno's father makes him go to his room where he looks out the window and sees a concentration camp and consults his sister Gretel about it. After Gretel leaves his room, Bruno has a little bit of a conversation/rants to his Maid.

In this part of the book, Gretel and Bruno become very curious about the people around them that they are not allowed to interact with. Bruno travels far to somewhere he has never been, and then keeps going further. Bruno finds a house in a place where he is not supposed to be. He meets a boy named Smhelus, and they get to know each other for a little bit. Bruno is still not happy about where he lives, but is slowly becoming more and more curious. So far I am not liking the book as much as I thought I would have for a few reasons. The first is that the main character's main conflict is not having anyone to play with. Also, I wish that there was more action in the novel involving the war. To me, that is how a world war two book should be, and that is how I want this book to be. I hope that it all comes together in the end.

The Fury will not let me leave my mission until it is done so I must stay here at Out-With. This is a very hard desision for me because I love them all so much but I cannot go. Bruno wants to go wherever I go, that's sweet but he has to go with his mother. Out- With is not a place for children, they need friends and grandpa needs to be comforted. I guess I must send them to Berlin.

Although instead of a young boy as the main character, it was a young girl. They had different outlooks on the war. Both share the same confusion and fright when discovering concentration camps.

Text to World: We can easily find discrimination through the stories of World War 2. Text to Text: Last year, I read a book titled Between Shades of Gray, which was also a world war 2 based novel. Although instead of a young boy as the main character, it was a young girl. They had different outlooks on the war. Lina, (Between shades of gray) was being taken to a concentration camp and her story is about life inside it. Bruno's story was him finding a concentration camp and losing innocence to something so awful. Both share the same confusion and fright when discovering concentration camps.

Text to World: We can easily find discrimination through the stories of World War 2. The Nazi's profiling Jews, and anyone they didn't think was worthy of life. We still face discrimination, profiling, and racism today.

In The boy in the striped pajamas Shmuel a jewish boy was bassically a slave. In Ranger's Apprentice The Icebound Land the main character Will was enslaved by the skandians and forced to work. Both ar similar to me because they both were treated horribly and beaten.
In the book The boy in the striped pajamas Bruno was gassed in the end by the Nazis by mistake and no one could find him. That reminds me of all the times kids run away these days or are kidnapped and are never to be seen again. It reminds me of that because it happens so often and the kids usually die.

I took in to the starvation and eat some chicken, it so delicious and I couldn't get enough. But I know I shouldn't have done it because once Luitenent came out he was made. I don't know how but he knew I eat and he was made. He asked me if I stole it and I said no and then said Bruno my friend gave it to me. I never expected, every second i grew more and more terrified of him. Bruno was crying as mother held him, I couldn't even stand to watch anymore.. I thought I would throw up. Later that night, when I went to bed. I could barely sleep. I ran the event through my head a thousand times and I could never get it out of my mind. In the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Bruno, a 9 year old boy, is being forced to move into a new home he does not like. This house is called Out-With and it has a big fence near the house with people in striped clothes on. Bruno decided to go exploring in the yard and he goes along the fence. He goes so far that he can not see the house anymore. Bruno came along a boy named Shmuel on the other side of the fence. They start talking to each other about where they live and such. Bruno talks about ho his old home was better than his new house. Shmuel talks about his old home. I think that this is a good book. I am not enjoying it as much as I thought. I thought it would be a little more interesting than it actually is. I am hoping that it will become more interesting soon.

So far in the book The boy in the striped pajamas, it begins with bruno, the main character and his family having to move to a new house because of the dads new job. the two kids, Bruno and Gretal dont like the house that much. But then bruno finds a window in his room that looks over on these men/boys wearing striped pajamas. Then bruno started exploring new places and he runs into this place that looks like a prison and he meets this boy named Smhelus. and they start talking.

In the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, there is a lot of conflict in the story. The main conflict that I have been noticing in the story is how Bruno wants to go home really badly. He has been trying to convince his family to move back to Berlin, but soon enough, their conversations turn into arguments He had an argument with his mom, dad, basically everyone in his household. That is basically the conflicts that I have been noticing in the story so far.

So far, Bruno's family moved to a new house called Out-With. They moved because his dad got a new job. Bruno is against moving and hates his new house. His mom says it is for the best. When he looks around his room he spots children through his window. They are in a fence and there are older people too. Everyone looks dirty and sad. Bruno gets sent to his room before his father yells at him.

When Gretel was mistreating Maria about not preparing her bath, Bruno stood up for her, which shocked all three of them.

I think that Bruno's father is actually becoming one of the head people at a concentration/death camp. Bruno will become friends with one of the children at the camp and they will become good friends while meanwhile works at the concentration camp as a prisoner because he is a Jew.
