The current status of the planning project is that the city of Antioch and the consultant will be host two workshops to gather intel on what the community envisions what the outdoor community space would look like. The first workshop will be at Feb 8th and the second will be at Feb 18th.

This article showed me that cities in the Bay Area are still trying to expand and becoming more urban. I am honestly surprised that the city of Antioch are looking for community input because when I lived in the bay area, I never really heard about cities meeting with the community to provide input on developments. This planning project is very interesting to me because I would really like for the waterfront lot becomes a beautiful community gathering space that resembles the waterfront of Seattle. This does affect me because I would love to see what the residents and the city agree on building.
