Her parent understood hour daughter are transgender ans they are open-minding. 
But the girl didn't is transgender and she said to want to be Data.

It's a dialogue between a girl and her parents. When the video starts, the girl tells her parents "I am trans" thus her parents think she is transsexual . In the video, the parents are not shocked and they accept their daughter's choice because they are open-minded. We could say all parents should follow that example and respect the decisions of their kids.

However, the girl realizes that they misunderstood her. In fact, she wants to get rid of her body (and recycle it) to become data, to become transhuman.
